Jay took her sword from her back and slashed it at a large oak before dropping her sword and sitting down panting looking at her paws

Putting two and two together, she realized that blood must have something to do with being able to touch the water. It still hurt though, and she still yelped in pain and surprise. And then she remembered she barely knew how to swim. Living in a city house with a yard too small for a pool, she never really learned. Clumsily paddling to the surface, she got her nose high enough to breath, and slowly started making her way to the edge, trying and failing to pull herself out.

Lillia came out with her fur covering her eyes and her tail looking much smaller. She shook most of the water out and, breathing heavily, said "I would thank you for pulling me out, but you pushed me in without warning, so there is no thanks for that. And I do suppose I should probably learn to swim, otherwise being able to swim in this would be pointless."

"As long as it doesn't involve suddenly putting me in possible danger without question." She looked at him like he might try to drown her, but she did want to learn how to swim. She was honestly a little embarrassed at how many things she can't do, including swimming.

"If I had a jar of peanut butter for every time I was told that and something went wrong, I would already have my life time supply of peanut butter." She said, and poked her paw in the water, watching the ripples float across the surface.
