Jack showed no concern fro Ray starting to loose consciousness, he might as well. But Jack didn't care, he'd put Ray back outside once he was fixed up.

Ray struggled to stay conscious so he could say something to Jack. "Jack, I wanted to say 'I'm sorry'. I'm sorry for dragging you into the mess of my life. I'm sorry I met you, I'm sorry I decided to steal from the treasury that night. I'm sorry I travelled over here when my other friend died, I should have taken that as a hint and not be close to anyone else. I'm sorry I left my kingdom, my family, my inheritence to escape death. I should have not tempered with fate; I should have let it run its course. I should have stayed as heir to the throne just a week longer to help my people and then accepted death. I then wouldn't have met Errapel and watched him die. I'm wouldn't have come here for a place to stay if I hadn't left, and I wouldn't have decided to try my luck and steal from the treasury. I wouldn't have been able to invite you to join me in the dangerous dance my life is. Which is why I am saying I'm sorry."
Ray shudders as he hears himself say, "So you don't have to help me. I should have died earlier. I can accept death now."

Jack still said nothing, but his eyes turned down as he listened. He felt bad for Ray, but wasn't about to show it. He stopped at his little mothers house, gently knocking.
A short woman with brown hair and hazel eyes peaked out and she smiled as she saw Jack, she was an older woman and was wearing an apron covered in stains. "Oh! Jack.... who is your little friend?" She asked, but Jack simply said he had to stitch Ray up.

Ray hums a hello when Jack's mother answered the door. They were almost offended when she said little friend before deciding they didn't have enough energy to be offended. Ray had tended to themself as best they could, but they hadn't been able to do a few things, like stitch up their shoulder and forearm, and for that they were incredibly grateful that Jack had decided to help them. There was still a part of them that kept nagging, telling them they it would be better if they died so they wouldn't be able to make any more terrible decisions and hurt anyone else.

Jacks mother came out and shooed them in, pushing Jack inside. "Hurry, Hurry then." She said, gingrly patting Ray's head in a kind manner before turning and closing the door and scolding Jack for letting that happen to such a sweet looking dear.
Jack simply didnt' argue with his mother, nodding and apologizing as he went to the living room and took out a sort of first aid set of things from under the sitting sofa. He gently laid Ray on the couch .

Ray smiles when Jack's mother pats their head gently. They wanted to explain that it had been all their fault and Jack had nothing to do with it and they brought it on themself, but they couldn't form the right words, so they decided to keep quiet. Ray apologizes quietly to Jack for being the cause of his mother scolding him.

Jack said nothing to Ray.
"I'll warm some milk for them and then some food. They need their strength." Jack's mother said before scurrying off to the kitchen in her little waddle type of walk.
(Waddling is actually how my 72 year old mother walks. xD)

"Thank you." Ray says to Jack's mother. She is super nice, maybe that's why Jack is so nice. Jack is also nice because Jack was Jack. Ray liked Jack even though they knew they couldn't have Jack. Jack didn't seem to like them at all any more, and so Ray is sad though they try not to be.
(I waddle too when I'm a bundle of nervous energy and I don't want to be too crazy. =P)

(I don't waddle too often, usually when my clothing is too heavy or my boots dont' fit.)
She called a 'your welcome, dear' from the kitchen as she lit the stove and put some milk into a pot.
Jack pulled out a curved needle and some thick strands of cat hide. "Stay still." Was all Jack said as he tired the end, and gently removed Ray's top to keep any fabric out of the way from the wounds. His hands were gentle and his skin soft as it brushed Rays.

Ray tries to follow what Jack told him to do and stay still, though they shiver slightly when Jack's hand brushed over their skin. Ray tried to distract themself from everything that was happening but wasn't exactly sure how. What was happening was kind of hard to ignore.
