His words themselves didn't get through to Jason's sleeping mind but just his voice calmed him and soon he relaxed,subconsciously cuddling against him a bit. That was fairly normal per say,he was only 18 and sometimes would need a break from the crazy life he'd lived for a while.Even if it was just sitting here and sleeping against Ash and,unknowingly,letting him vent.

Ash continued to tell Jason about how he had failed, about how he had just let him go. He was kinda glad he wasn't awake so he couldn't argue.

He had reason to be glad because Jason would have argued that Ash had been the one to jump through that portal and come after him and his crazy twin. He was silently and subconsciously settling for sleeping against Ash ,falling into the peace that Ash's voice gave him.

There was also a chill that had creeped through Ash's clothes, but that might not have helped Jason sleep. Once he was finally done ranting, he sighed, as if being able to breathe after something getting removed off his chest

The chill made Jason squirm just a bit and curl into Ash as if looking for warmth despite...that's where the chill was coming from. "Mmm..."

Ash tended to get that a lot, especially when people found out his skin was cold. He was still holding Jason's hand

And Jason's hand only held more firmly to Ash's as he cuddled into him,no emotions getting in the way this time in his sleepy love. Once he had found it comfortable,though cold,against Ash he stopped squirming and relaxed against him pleasantly,smiling a bit.His subconscious mind knew he was besides Ash and that things where calm for now.And so his tail tip...wagged a bit.Like a happy puppy who just found out he'd loved doggy biscuits without knowing before.

The corner of Ash's lips turned up, glad that nothing was blocking his love. When he woke up, however, that might be a different story.

True,it might,and most likely,would be.But Pam had seen hints of a complicated fragment of their relationship and so he had a conversation he wanted to have with Jason,knowing it would explain what Pam had noticed in his scales and eyes.His heart being pulled in two different directions.

And it was all Ash's fault. If he had never left in the first place, Puck might have never had a chance. But instead, he picked up the pieces, almost literally, of what was left of Jason and took him for his own. Then Ash came back, apologizing and only complicated things.
