Robbie yanked her onward, weaving through the crowd as the rest of the students jerked their heads toward the shrieking. Angie was covering her nose with her hands, and her screams were sounding more and more like the squeals of a pig.

She looked forward again.
"Hey... Uh... What happened?" She whispered to Robbie.

"She deserved it," he muttered in response.

"Wait..." She stopped. "She deserved it? Deserve what?" She was really confused.

He just dragged her to the bus, not answering her questions.

Once they got to the bus she stopped moving, standing still.
"Robbie what is going on? Tell me." She looked irritated, because he ignored her questions.

Robbie seemed like a different person now, quiet, brooding, watching the kids on the bus with predator-like intensity. "Nothing. It needed to happen for a long time."
How well did she know him, really know him? Hed been her friend for longer than she could remember, and yet she'd never been to his house, or met his parents. The few times she suggested meeting at his place, hed always had some excuse not to; his folks were out of town, or they were remodeling the kitchen, a kitchen she'd never seen. That was strange, but what was weirder was the fact that she'd never wondered about it, never questioned it, until now. Robbie was simply there, like hed been conjured out of nothing, with no background, no home, and no past. What was his favorite music? Did he have goals in life? Had he ever fallen in love?
(I feel so controlling. Again. Sorry)

(You're alright! I'm just here to continue the story lol.)
"What happened?" She demanded.

(But I feel bad :P)
He was about to respond, but he noticed a horse and rider that stood beneath the limbs of an enormous oak, as still as the trees themselves. The horse was a huge black animal with a mane and tail that rippled behind it, even drenched as it was. Its rider was tall and lean, garbed in silver and black. A dark cape fluttered from its shoulders. Through the rain, they could catch the barest glimpse of a face: young, pale, strikingly handsome...staring right at Lia.
Robbie pushed past her, staring out the window, his eyes narrowed to green slits, hard and dangerous. His lips moved, and he whispered one word. "Ash."

Amelia looked at the rider for a second.
'That's not creepy at all.'
