Revilla watched the spark she saw in him slowly fade away, and she couldn't help but frown at that. She gave a little sigh, and looked back up at him.
"If there's one thing I know, it's that everyone has reasons for making their less good choices. One doesn't just wake up in the morning and go do bad things just because. Either someone or something drove them. So while yes, we're responsible for our actions, you should ask yourself why it is you did it, and maybe even what or who's driving you."
You could tell she was speaking from experience, and she had this faraway look in her eyes as she looked out the window again. She gave another sigh and shook her head a bit.
"I'm sorry, the conversation gt a bit deep, huh?" She smiled her normal, ghost-like smile. Almost there, but not quite.

Evan thought for a moment before replying with, " I did it because I thought it was the best way I coud get rid of all the pain I was feeling. I thought it was the best way insteading of seeing out help. " His eyes were set forward, his arms crossed firmly against his chest in a defensive way. One could compare him to a child hiding a horrible secret they shouldn't be keeping from an adult. Finally he glanced over to her and noticed the far off look in her eyes, and couldn't help but to be saddened by it just a little. He took a deep breath, and returned to his jolly self. " Not deep at all Revilla, it is good to talk about these things. better then bottling it all up like I have. A silly thing really. Though, never did fancy talking of my problems. I can carry then alone. " Evan said with a forced smile that did not in the slightest reach his eyes. " I am just glad that I am helping someone in someway. Though, I couldn't imagine she would be such a pleasure to be around. "

Revilla glanced over at him again, a slight pang of pain in her heart again. I could almost have never known how much agony he was in, if not for how his eyes tell everything. She thought to herself. Then again, she knew how hard it was to ask for that help. She still hated asking for help these days.
She snapped out of her thoughts, and smiled a bit. "I'm happy that you feel alright enough to voice them to me. For the first time, it feels nice to talk to someone who really listens, and not just to put data on a spreadsheet."
I truly don't think anyone can carry their problems alone. Some just can't stand the idea of burdening others. I guess him and I are both one of those people.
Revilla glanced at the clock, which was surprisingly already almost at noon. She hardly even noticed the growling in her stomach.
"I haven't been into the mess hall for some time, do you know if they still have anything good?" She asked, using the chance for a subject change. If anything, she could never be in her triggered state in front of him. She'd want to kill herself if that happened.

Evan had becoming completely silent, not really speaking anymore. It was scary when he was silent as he loved to talk and loved to be engaged in conversation. Finally after agonizing silence he spoke. " I know it is much better to talk without someone just saying ' I see ' ever few minutes, but I shalln't know such feeling as I haven't thought of such. Thy of all I know are the first I speaketh to of it. " He suddenly had a complete shift, starting to speak in a much older styled for a moment. He didn't even seem to notice he did it though. He stood up when he too noticed the clock and replied to her with, " Why yes, they do. In fact they updated the menu last week with some stuff with better quality.. I think they even should have cake today! " He sounded excited about the cake.. he absolutely loved sweets. " Maybe I could have the pleasure of escorting m'lady to the mass hall? " He said with another elegant, playful bow.

Revilla felt very uneasy at the silence. It was very odd to not hear him speak. That was partially why she tried to change the subject and stop that dull and sad look he was giving. It made everything hurt. She even noticed the very olden way he spoke for a few minutes, and she took that as an indicator she'd pushed the conversation too far.
Revilla smiled though when she heard they had better quality food now. She was also happy to hear some of Evan's chipper personality come back. She laughed quietly, and nodded.
"Why certainly m'lord. It shall give me the greatest honor," She copied his style of speaking as she grabbed a light jacket, and walked back over to him.

Evan smiled at her when she copied his way of speaking, and opened her door for her. " Ladies first. " He said, and once she had exited he followed silently. There was an excited skip to his step as he walked. He really liked the idea of something sweet.. they didn't usually let anyone have candy or anything like that most of the time which annoyed him. He was absolutely delighted at the prospect of anything sweet. It was very clear to see it too. No one knew why he liked it so much, but no one dared asked in fear of a rant coming on from him about the wonders of sweets.

Revilla smiled, walking out of her room and down the hall. She glanced back, and giggled softly at how excited he looked. She hadn't had anything sweet herself for a long while, mostly because eating used to be quite the chore for her.
"Someone seems very excited." She commented, untying her hair from it's usual bun and letting it stay loose for a while. Sometimes she did that out of habit, because she didn't enjoy people seeing her face that much. People asked questions about the incident, and it only caused trouble. It was easier if they couldn't see her face clearly.
I'm assuming Evan only knows what the press had to say about it, which I'm glad. If he knew every detail, I almost guarantee he'd go to the jail and kill those men. Some things are best kept hidden. She thought with a glum look, but it washed away when she could smell the food from the mess hall.

Evan smiled and said, " Me? Excited? No, never! " he chirped, clearly very muc excited about it. As they neared the mess hall he looked a little more protective though and stood just a tad bit closer to Revilla, tempted to put his arm around her just in case. He knew the people in there and he very well know that they were not the nicest of people in there.. or ever. He refused to let Revilla get hurt beside him, or ever for that matter. He still looked relatively calm but you could sense the protective aura around him. He looked around the mess hall before even entering, he wouldn't of gone in if he had seen certain people. The second he stepped in, his deminer changed. He looked rougher, ready to fight even. He stood tall with his chest pushed forward, his head held high. This place was not a place to show fear in. it was in his mind worse then a prison block at times. " Be careful.. while you weren't able to come out.. new people came here and.. they aren't the most.. respectful towards females. " He warned seriously.

Revilla smiled, happy that he wasn't quite so empty anymore. She could sense the sudden change in the aura, and glanced up at Evan. She noticed plenty of things about him that seemed protective, and it worried her slightly. Sure, there had been some pretty messed up people that passed through here, but she hadn't seen this many for a long while. Even the nurses didn't eat here.
Revillla glanced up when he said that, and she wasn't going to lie, a little bit of anxiety swept through her momentarily. She didn't show it though, and just gave a smile
"Alright. I'll be careful." She said with a calm tone. She walked over to where the trays were, grabbing one and looking at all the food options.

Evan talked to a few people as he passed them, addressing them as friends but everyone else could tell he was only friendly to a few of them to not start any fights. He was usually allowed out of his room so he knew just about everyone around this place, and didn't trust half of them in the slightest. Finally he walked over to the trays and over to the food. After looking through his options he picked a small salad, a burger, a apple, and a slice of chocolate cake. He spotted one of the doctors he liked and talked to him for a moment. Dr. Morison was calm and cool, very similar to Evan. They seemed to know each other well and split apart from each other after a moment. Evan walked over to his favorite table, the table was beside a large window. The window was unopen able and made out of 5 inch glass to make sure that there was no way that anyone could get out that way. Not that Evan minded that fact but he was pretty upset about how little trust they had for the people here, but at the same time he understood. He waited for Revilla to join him, watching around the room carefully.
