Ariel rushed into the room. She saw a girl looking at her hand, but Ariel guessed it wasn't that big. Jon called her Max. Maybe she'd cut herself. Then she saw Conner. Out cold. She sat next to him and gently shook his shoulder. "Come on, your not like this." she muttered than looked at the girl. "Sorry if he was hurting you. I can see you fight hard then." she said pointing at the now waking up Conner.

Conner slowly opened his eyes. He groaned the world wasn't supposed to be all dark, he was sure. But then he remembered. He sat up quickly, way too quickly. He clutched his head. After the headache went away for a tiny bit, he looked at Max. "You okay? Where's all the..." he stopped. If only one person knew about it the better.

(If there isn't a crowd already with all of Max's yelling, I'd be surprised. But maybe it would be easier if there wasn't one... *shrugs* who wants easy?)

(Yeah well *shrugs*)

Max looked at Conner, she didn't know what was happening, Jon put a hand on her shoulder, "Did he hurt you?" he asked giving Conner a glare, Max shook her head, "N-no, I saved him from the ghosts." she said shakily.

Conner winced. He didn't like being in need. He looked away from the other kids glare. If that wasn't enough, it seemed like the whole school was outside the doors. He got up and tried to get close to Max to tell her that he didn't exactly want that out in the world, but Ariel pushed him away. Conner looked at her in shock. She didn't usually do this...

Ariel had a feeling that Max's response was not really real. Conner had to be in it someway. He wasn't usually the helping type. When he tried to get close to Max, she shoved him back. "Dude, what did you do? You obviously did something. So spill the beans." she glared at him. Conner smiled tightly.
"Yeah. About that, can we spill beans at lunch?" he asked. Ariel just looked at him.
"Yeah. And let you figure out a cover story? I don't think so." she said.

Max looked at Ariel, "He didn't hurt me, he saved me from the ghosts and I saved him." she said walking over to Conner, Jon frowned, "Ghosts aren't real."

Conner face-palmed. "Exactly." he muttered to himself. Then he looked sheepishly at Max. "Sorry for bringing you into all this trouble. And I don't think we've officially met. I'm Conner. You may be?" he asked sticking out his hand in a sign of friendship.

Ariel looked from Conner to Max. Conner wasn't usually interactive. And Max? Well, she didn't even know her. She then looked at Jon. "Ghosts aren't real." she agreed. "Unless you have what ever they have." she waved her hands towards Conner and Max.

Max smiled, "It's nice to meet you Conner, I'm Maxine, but I go by Max." she replied shaking Conner's hand, Jon looked at the two, "So you guys have something that ghosts want?" he asked confused.

Conner looked at the floor. He wondered either to start at the beginning. He decided to. He looked back up at Jon. "Well, it started this morning." he started. He left out the parts being called devil's child. No one else needed to know those parts. After a couple minutes, he ended. "And I was knocked out for, like, half the battle. If Max wasn't there, I would officially be ghost meat. Trust me, it's not fun to be that."

Ariel nodded, still not completely trusting him. She turned to Max. "So, what's your point of view?" she asked.

(If your confused, they want to go to either the h-e-l-l or heaven. They'd prefer Heaven, so some escape h-e-l-l to try and find people like Max and Conner. Most times they're sent back where they came from. That's what spells Max and Conner used.)

Max explained something very much like what Conner had said, Jon nodded, "But how did you defeat the ghosts?" Max shrugged, "I don't know, I reached out my hand and a light shot out of it at the ghosts and then they were gone."

(Did Max spill some of the parts Conner didn't? Just want to know. About the things the ghosts said?)

Ariel sighed. The stories lined up, pretty much. She'd have to believe Conner.

Max looked at Conner, "What would the ghosts want that we have?"
