The pictures: there was a picture of Sonic flailing in the water, Tails tinkering with gears, Rookie eating his ice cream, and a sketch of Kit and Malory smiling.

Sonic looked at them. "Well, that display of... ahem... physical prowess, is me 'swimming' for my life, That's Kit and her mom when they were younger, the red fox with two tails is Miles, but most people call him Tails, and that wolf is Gadget." He explained.

Val nodded, "Ok well I have a slight fear of water, but I don't get terrified of swimming in a stream," she said with a smirk, "But who's that other Mobian?" she asked pointing at the picture of Knux.

Sonic's ears twitched. "That," He said slowly, "Is none other then Knuckles the Echidna,"

Val's eyebrows raised, "Whoa." she said simply.

"Yeah," Sonic said. "That's what I said when we first met."

Val frowned, "I wonder why my mom never told me about you." she said putting her hands in her pockets.

Sonic shrugged. "She didn't like me, but insisted on following me everywhere,"

Val shrugged, but then a picture fell out of her pocket, she picked it up, "Is that supposed to be you?" she asked showing the hedgehog the picture, it was the picture of Sonic losing in a race of Kit, a snail, and a turtle.
