It's stuck to the base, but when you push it, something clicks, and the entire fireplace shakes once before revolving around, the fireplace going into the wall and revealing a shelf full of books... They seemed to be made of the same paper the paper airplane from earlier had need made of.
Name: Kayden
Gender: Female
Diagnosed with: Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID)
Notes on behavior and symptoms: Switching of identities at random, amnesia of times in different identities, claims to have blacked out when other identities took over, things learnt in different identities seem to prevail in implicit memory.
You couldn't figure out where they were coming from.
I read the slip again, wondering why it said I had DID. I didn't remember going to any doctor for it or having that mental illness at all. "Hello? Who are you? How do you know my name?" I call out, taking a random candle and lighting any other candles I come across and heading to explore where I heard the original laughter upstairs.

The mirror the slip of paper had been sitting on was now changing... As you watched, cracks spread across its surface, splitting into many different mirrors, all reflecting a different you. Some reflections were covered in blood, smiling maliciously, while others looked somewhat confused.
All of them were you, you somehow knew that fact. One of them, one of the ones that looked more normal, beckoned you closer.

You push the door open, entering a large, dusty, old room. From your point of view, there was a small fireplace on the right wall, a dusty painting hanging over it, and before it, an armchair. Next to the fireplace, leaning on the wall, was a full body mirror. On the wall directly opposite of you was a large arched window, part of it broken. Through it, you could very vaguely make out a few trees in the night. In front of the window horizontally there was what looked like a very luxurious bed that was in disrepair. Against the wall left of you there was a piano. There seemed to be candles here and there in the room. Other than that, everything was way too dark for you to see anything of detail.
No sign of whoever laughed.
I walk over to the piano and play a few notes in no particular order. "Do you play piano?" I ask, still trying to find whoever was laughing.

The right door on the first landing opens without much of a sound. Upon entering, you hear a slight chuckle from the darkness stretching out before you.
"Who is there?" Tantei immediately shines the light in the direction of the chuckle. A slight shiver runs down the back of his spine.

The candle in your lantern flickers dangerously as if it were on the edge of extinguishing.
No response.

No titles on the books, but when you flip through then, they seem to be diaries as well, like the paper airplane.

You head down further into the dark hallway, your lantern only offering the tiniest bit of light against the blackness. It isn't long before you reach a large circular room, quite empty with nothing but a circular carpet on the floor and an old standing mirror in the center of the carpet.
There were windows on both sides of the room, but it was night outside, so they didn't offer much light either. When you explored and looked more closely, you find that the perimeter of the room was lined with candles, and the candles seemed relatively unused.
There was a door on the opposite side of the room, directly across from the hallway you'd entered from.
