Eskellia sighed in hope that her sister, despite hating the king with all the blood in her veins, would show up to her wedding. After Estoria's escape from the kingdom, the two sisters hadn't exactly gotten along very well, though Eskellia wanted to fix their relationship, but she wasn't sure her sister felt the same way.

I watched the queen with blazing hate in my eyes, before turning to leave. Then I spread my wings and flew outside. I wouldn't attend the wedding. I'd been to every previous one. No different this time. I landed on an outpost, maybe a mile out of the castle. It was crumbling and the stones were mossy. I curled up and cried.

And now I wait, I know I will soon see my bride. This Wedding seems to feel different from the others though. Maybe I just simply love my bride more than the others. I chase these thoughts out of my mind and keep my gaze fixed on where she will enter.

I know the procession is starting. I fly off to a nearby village that has tried to revolt lately. The slaughter makes me feel worse, for the first time. I run my talons in the river, set fire to the mountain village and return to my small outpost. I refuse to attend, and Cyrus will have to deal with it. I start to wonder how long the Queen will last.

Eskellia began walking down the aisle to meet her groom. She looked around at the gathered crowds, a smile on her face, hiding his disappointment that her sister hadnt come, or so, she thought. She managed to spy just a flash of an eye that she made contact with for a brief moment, and she knew it belonged to her sister.
