"Yeah." Jon said jogging over to Ariel.

Max frowned, she went over to the door and forced it open nearly ripping it off it's hinges, she closed it behind her, she folded her arms, "Tell me before I get impatient."

Conner looked at the ghosts. They were bigger than he thought. "Uh-oh." he whispered. Suddenly the door swung open. The girl walked in. Conner turned his head around. He looked at her in surprise. "Tell me before I get impatient." she said. Conner groaned. The ghosts turned to both of them.
"Intruders." they said and blundered towards them. Conner looked between her and the ghosts. "Okay. I can explain. Very quickly." he turned towards her and talked supersonic.
"So, yeah. The ghosts are out to get me and you." he concluded as the ghosts finally reached them. The ghosts reached for Max. Conner jumped in front of the ghosts, and pushed Max back. "Go!" he urged trying to keep the ghosts under control. He could tell she couldn't quite believe him, but he tried to get her out the door. "Go! They'll catch you. You might not see them, but they can get you!"


Ariel smiled. "Class is as class goes." she said as they reached the classroom. Conner was supposed to be here too. He wasn't yet. She started to worry.

Max screamed in pure terror, she could see the ghosts reach their hands to get her.

Jon heard the blood curdling scream, "What's that?" he asked.

Conner covered his ears. "Nope, nope. Not supposed to happen." he whispered. "Okay. Stand back. Things might get messy." He turned to the ghosts. They stared at him with dead eyes. "You shall pay." they said in unison. "Wow." Conner tried to make things light. "Which one of us, I mean..." the ghosts howled and charged, interrupting Conner. "Okay." he whimpered, suddenly petrified with fear. "You don't like jokes." He tried to make his body move, it just wouldn't happen.

Ariel turned to the noise. "I don't know. Someone could be in trouble!" she said, racing to the noise. And then to herself, "And I wouldn't be surprised if Conner was involved."

Max picked up a bat that was laying around and bat at the ghosts, "Stay away!" she screeched.

Jon was up immediately, "Let's go!" he said already out the door.

Conner stood still, trying to find a good spell that would knock the dead-yet-undead off their feet. He wasn't thinking fast enough. "Okay, fine!" he yelled in frustration, mostly to himself. He lifted his hands and shot a random spell.

The wrong one.

Ariel tried to pry the door open. It was stuck fast. "Help!" she said to Jon, who was beside her. "Help me open the door.

Jon grabbed the edge and tried ripping it open, it didn't budge.

Max let out another bloodcurdling scream, "HELP!!!"

Conner flew backwards and hit the wall. Suddenly, the whole world was getting mixed up and turned upside down. "Ow." he said, and felt the back of his head. When he pulled his hand back, it was wet. With something like blood. One of the ghosts turned towards him.
"Who were we after in the first place? Get the demon child." Conner looked at Max and winced, wondering what she would think of that. The ghosts all surged towards him. With one last energy push, he put a protective shield around Max. At least for now, she would be safe. He slowly blacked out.

Ariel plugged her ears to the sound. "We need to get in there, fast." she said to Jon, taking his spot. She yanked again. The door groaned and creaked open a tiny bit. "Come on, come on." she whispered, trying to get it un-jammed. "Jon, if we do this together, maybe we can get it." she said, taking another position.

(I would be surprised if there wasn't a crowd already. XD Also, Jon and Ariel need to get in there fast; Max seems to be freaking out. I would be too. Conner's done this before. He has more experience... But he's out for now.)

Max held out a hand to Conner, "NO!" she screamed, a blast of light shot from her hand and smashed into the ghosts, she looked at her hand in terror.

Jon nodded, he helped Ariel force the door open, the door creaked and groaned until it swung open and nearly flew off its hinges, he spotted Max looking at her hand, "Max!"
