Serene nodded at A'eda'n before turning back to the teacher. Serene nodded at Bella and winked at her. "No problem! It was nice meeting you! Oh, and thank you!" she said, quieting down before Ms. Celeste spoke. Alderic flipped and did some cool tricks. Serene laughed to herself.

"Okay! See ya!" she said, waving. Entering her classroom, she gave her teacher a smile, and walked off to another desk.

Jora picked up her sketchbook and held it under her chin for a little bit. She looked around the room at all the people there. "Maybe later. It's nothing of a good embarrassment. I just draw some of the memories from back home and it helps sometimes to draw them out of my head...." She kept staring at the front of the room almost forgetting Orion was there. She remembered he was there and turned back to him but couldn't think of anything to say so she looked back at the front of the room.

Master Alexander rose from the desk and grunted a little as his back straightened out again. "Well, I've got to go finish finding some of the work for today so I'm going to leave you to finish writing your song." He smiled at her one last time then walked back to his own desk. Looking for the last sheet he would need for today.

"Okay. Have you traveled anywhere before? I've been to the ocean multiple times, but other than that, I've stayed at home," says Orion. This is getting rather pitiful Orion. Start thinking of something interesting to talk about! "Sorry, I'm not so good at starting conversations, you don't have to answer the last question if you don't want to," he says, rubbing the back back of his head in embarrassment. He could tell she was distracted. Her thoughts were probably miles away. I hope I didn't bring up any memories that were too bad. He voiced his thought, "Sorry if I brought up any bad memories," Where are her thoughts? Memory Lane? I hope I didn't upset her. He shook his head, reigning in his wandering mind. His hand slipped, and he ended up making a mark across his paper. He stuffed the sketchbook into his backpack, but slipped the pen in his pocket.

Ember smiled at Master Alexander as he left. I wonder if I'll make any more friends. Possibly, but maybe I just met A'ine by luck. It probably won't happen again. Then again, Master Alexander did have a point when he said no one expected to make a friend on the first day. He was right too. Maybe it'll happen again. For now though, I'm good with just A'ine. I doubt I'd like to talk to more than one person anyway. I just wish she was in my class. She bent over her notes again.

(And my writer's block has been defeated. For now.)

Jora turned to Orion as he spoke. She waited until he was done talking for sure, "No it's okay, nothing bad. Actually I traveled all the time.... Well almost." She turned to look out the window at the mountains that surrounded the school. She turned back to Orion "I lived at the top of a rather tall mountain but went to school at the bottom of it. So, at least once a week I'd climb up it and when it started to take me less then an hour I'd find a new spot to climb at..... It was quiet and beautiful on the mountain." She opened up her sketch book and turned to the pages of the mountain. The first had the whole mountain in all it's beauty. It was when the sun was rising behind it so it was all dark and shadowed with streaks of purple and orange in the sky. She got to the bottom of the page and saw the mud stain. She groaned but still place the book in front of Orion for him to see. "The human kids did almost anything for a good laugh. I thought I was safe that early in the morning but they got up extra early to bombard me with mud-balls...." She shook her head at that one.

Alderic sat down after the grand introduction he did. He turned around and eyed all the people trying to decide who to make go next. He thought of making Corwin go next but he looked a little beyond him right at A'ine. "Hey A'ine! You should go next none of us besides your brother know you." He looked over at A'eda'n and saw his smile, he was obviously glad Alderic put her in the spotlight.

A'eda'n was thinking of going up voluntarily, having A'ine where he could see her made him a little too goofy. He smiled as Alderic spoke to his slightly hypocritically sister who was still in the back of the room. "Yeah A'ine, come on up."

A'ine looked up at Alderic not believing he even talked to her. She laughed as A'eda'n told her the same thing. "Okay, okay. Fine." She gets up and goes to the front of the room. "Hi apparently you all know my name but I'm going to say it anyway, My name's A'ine. And my one hobby is my knives." She lifts up the flap of her jacket and shows everyone her harness full of knives. She realized they might think she's threatening them so she added more like a joke. "And I'm awful at telling people about myself so yeah." She started to walk back to where she was sitting.

Ilandere shrugged "I don't think so, not if it's a friendly match using cookies for the chips." She smiled at the thought of it. She remembered his commit before the question about playing cards. "Now you wouldn't be think you'd beat me now would you?" She tilted her head at him, "Because I've been playing with some of the best for most of my remembered life." She said her smile weakening for a moment.

Stheno slithered toward her classroom sure that the teacher was there last. She saw a boy looking at the door. "Well it's good that I'm not exactly last." She said as mostly a joke to the boy. "Shall we open the door and see how many other's are in there?"

Phinesa got to class early and was the only one there so she read her small fairy-tail book she had brought with her. She looked up at the clock for a second and wonder where everyone else was.

"Mudballs," repeated Orion, his anger sparking, but he managed not to show it. "That's immature. The mudballs I mean, not you. But the mountain sounds so beautiful, and from the way you drew it..." he shakes his head, once again amazed by Jora's skill. He points to the sun. "So that's what the sunset looks like...." he mused, running his fingers gently over the painting. Now he really wanted to see a real sunset. Stupid curse. Why did my parents chose to live in a cursed valley? He pulled his sketch book back out, and fipped past a few drawings to one of a strange creature. "It's true that I've rarely seen the sky, and I've never seen a sunrise or sunset, but I did see some strange creatures. These things always climbed around in the trees, and this one actually climbed on me." He pushes the drawing over to Jora. The creature is covered in feathers, with two set of wings running down it's back. It's tail is long, and monkey-like tipped with a hook. It has a pointed head, sort of like a fox, and small paws, with tiny claws.

Jora hadn't heard anything Orion said until he talked about not seeing the sun set or rise. She stared at him disbelief flooding her eyes and she spoke a little loudly "You've never seen the sun set or rise before?!" She was speechless for a few seconds her mouth was open to speak the whole time. "Well, I'll have to fix that won't I?" She put her hand on her chin and thought for a second. "I think you should wait for tomorrow morning to see one. Sunrises are prettier." She looked down at the drawing he moved in front of her for her to see. "Aw, it's cute looking. What is it called?" She asked then blushed, "Sorry if that's not really cute. 'A freak thinks other freaks are cute'." She said quoting a rather snobby girl from back home when she saw Jora holding a baby rat.

Alderic seeing how awkward Corwin was about going up. He smiled at the teacher "I think A'eda'n and Serene should go up." He said grinning. He liked being on his own team for matchmaking.

A'eda'n was chuckling as A'ine went back to the back until he heard Alderic say something about him going up. He gulped in a breath and smiled a little lopsidedly. He turn back to Serene pointing at the front of class with his outstretched arm. "Ladies first?" He asked hoping she'd say okay and go first.

A'ine slouched in her chair she almost burst out laughing as Alderic turned on A'eda'n. A sort escaped her mouth as A'eda'n tried to get out of it by asking Serene to go first. She saw something flash in Alderic's eyes before he turned back to the front. She smiled at herself. A'eda'n already has a friend trying to match him up with a girl!

"You're not a freak, and neither is it. 'It" is a Simia, monkey in Latin. Actually, If you want to see her in person, I could show her to you. I think she's cute too," Orion said, slightly annoyed at Jora for calling her and the creature 'freaks'. At the same time, he knew she had a reason. Jora didn't do things without one. "You wanna know why I've never seen one?" he asks, preparing to launch into the story behind the curse of the valley. He just wanted to make sure she was interested. Jora has a low self-esteem due to all that bullying. I gotta find a way to raise it. If that's even possible. Maybe the damage is already done. But with Jora, I doubt that. Her drawing's good enough to use to raise her self-esteem.

Bella was glad Serene knew what she had meant. She gave her a smile in return. Now focusing on class, she looked at Alderic who looked at A'ine, who seemed like A'eda'n's twin sister he was talking about. She smiled at the girl. She saw her large amount of knives. "Whoa. That is a lot of knives. She probably uses those for when we go to use our weapons. She must be pretty good to use them all." she thought to herself.

Corwin had to smile to himself. He had no idea Alderic would ask A'ine to go up and introduce herself. As he watched her walk back to wear she was sitting, he turned back to the teacher, wondering who would go next. Hopefully it wasn't him.

Serene giggled as Alderic and A'eda'n had called up A'ine. It was funny of how a twin got a some sort of revenge to his sibling. She had never had the experience.

Celeste smiled as A'ine walked back to her desk. Why thank you guys who have volunteered for introducing themselves!" she said, after, looking at the clock. "Maybe two more introductions and we need to start actual class." she said, happily. "Any other people?" she asked.
