I noticed that I can buy a Nephini Essence or whatever in order to create one, so I will definitely be doing that. At least once. Maybe twice. lol. I like that I can pick out the colors of my pets. But I will certainly try your suggestions too. :)

Well, I'll tell ya, from experience, before I'll use an essence any more, I'll go to the pet search, and look at what's for sale.
if i can find one, that has just 1 (or 2) traits that i want, THEN i'll buy them,
use the essence for the 3rd trait i want
then breed the 2 together, hoping to get the pet with 3 traits i want.

if i had done that in the first place, i don't think i'd have so many 'butterfly wing' pets.
heh.

I DID capture me a rare vulnyx! heh. cost me in snares, but i finally got a "Fae Winged" Vulnyx.
not as cool as the 2 of yours, but still nice :)

Yeah... Jinxie should lead her where she needs to go.. I hate that annoying fairy! lol

I think you can use the pet dyes at anytime after they hatch.. so not when eggs but hatchlings and up. I *may* be adolescent and up.. not 100% sure.

Hmm.. I don't know what it won't let you use your Lighira for missions.. it's should. Maybe if it's hungry, hurt, in your main party, recovering, already on a mission?

(heh. i don't like that fairy either! lol)

and it wouldn't let me "join him to the party"

i did get him to go on a mission (smallest/1hr one)
maybe once he's done a couple of those, they'll let him join a party.
i'm thinking, if i have a higher numbered/rated pet, maybe i'll finally come across some of those rare pets (lighira just being one of them. heh)

i'll keep checking, and see what happens.
