Logan wondered what was happening

Ember ran alongside of them her coat shining like Wildfire's without the smoky mane and tail. After a few seconds of the plains seen the racetrack came back and Wildfire snorted and went faster as did the other horses. Wildfire stopped asking for his head and starting demanding it.

Logan let him have it

Wildfire surged foward with the Black Stallion neck and neck with Wildfire. Man 'F War was close behind them. Wildfire saw the wire that would end the race as did the others as went for it full power.

In crowd Wildfire looked like a raging fire with how fast he was moving.
"At it you two keeo going," Mr. Morgan encouraged.

Logan leaned forward and let Wildfire do his thing

Wildfire, Te=he Black Stallion, and Man 'F War hit the wire less then a millisecond apart. It was a photo finish.
Mr. Morgan walked down to Logan and Wildfire, "Good job now we gotta wait for the photo to be developed to see who won."

Logan nodded. "Good job, Wildfire, even if we didn't win."

Mr. Morgan came down to them, "That's yet to be debated and until it is you have to stay mounted sorry."
Wildfire was blowing hot and tired.
Mr. Morgan frowned and was called to the where the picture was being developed as were the owners of the other two horses. Alec Ramsey did not go but Henry Daley went to go on his behalf.

Logan stayed on Wildfire, feeling bad for the stallion

Mr. Morgan came back to them smiling, "Nice work you two. Logan dismount."
A crowd swarmed around them snapping pictures as the offical handed Logan the trophey and cash pize as a check, "You won by an inch."
"Stay back," Mr. Morgan warned the crowd as Wildfire lashed out and they darted back, "I'll walk him."
