Shade glared at Ash and Jason looked about ready to attack him yet again.

"They didn't believe me and my findings,my truth I found of the Multiwings and the proof of what happened to us and just how weak we where.Father didn't listen,he was to busy with court and things to listen to me,Flasher and Lavender didn't listen either. And when Clementine came along,named after a poison,she didn't listen eventually either. So I started dosing on brother dears greatest fear other than being alone."

Jason stiffened and he hissed softly.

Shade continued though. "Clementine,a poison to dragons.Dose on a little,it can help you heal.Take enough,it's a death sentence.But I went over the dosage for death.And I survived! I showed them that I wasn't like the original Multiwings and I tried to get them to listen to me! Did they?! NO! They where to smiley then about meeting him!" He pointed at Jason and Jason flinched. In his eyes was clear that he'd tried to listen to Shade,but Shade said nothing of that part.

"Just because they didn't listen didn't mean they weren't going to. You didn't even give them a chance afterward, either. You just decided to kill them the first time around."

Shade sighed and he sat on the ground,both Jason and Shade for a moment both seemed grieved by past events,both from different perspectives and reasons. "I tried for years,I tried..." "But sometimes when you try..." Then both spoke in sync and voices sounded almost exact to one anothers. "It's not enough."

Both looked away from one another and where silent for a moment.

"But sometimes others don't want to listen."

"Or sometimes what you have to say..."

"Isn't worth saying."

Ash examined them. "It's very true. And let me tell you this: your pain will never go away. Ever. But there's a difference between acknowledging your pain and fighting it."

Shade tsked,rolling his eyes and turning his face away,his hair swaying and showing an exact copy of how Jason's horns had been before they'd gotten so broken.

Jason on the other hand looked to Ash with confusion but trust,left eye purple and right red still.Both reptilian still. "How would pain be fought though?" He said softly,confused.

Shade muttered a few more dragonic cusses and growled softly. He spoke to himself in dragon under his breath of how pain couldn't be fought.That only the weakest had pain and that he wasn't in pain,that he was fine and could kill whatever the heck he'd been before...just as Jason had been trying to do when he'd been trying so hard to let go of Ash.

"You deny it. You don't want to realize that it's there, saying that you're fine, that you're not hurt. You just...want to give up. You don't want to fight through what you have left of your life."

Jason stared down a moment and then looked to his hands,as if looking over himself and looking over what he'd done for years,running away and not letting himself get adopted.Dashing head first into situations during the dragon war because he hated to let himself rest or think but he'd come to love pushing his boundaries and ... he hated to admit it,but he loved to feel pain because it made him forget the pain of the past and let him endure past the physical pain of the moment.

Shade stopped growling and talking under his breath,looking at the ground. "Some people fight pain differently,and for some it works to just kill themselves off. Maybe that's their way of fighting for what life they have left to live."

"Or maybe that's just another way to fight the pain. To end it because they felt they weren't strong enough, that they couldn't continue feeling the pain they felt even though, in reality, it was just their mindset preventing them from being strong enough."

"Strenght is something that some of us are born with,while others...are just what they are." Jason said softly.

"But it's your choice to rip away that weakness and let strength come forth." Shade growled at him and Jason glared at him. "But it takes time,not poison or cold blood killing."

Shade hissed back. "It takes what it takes,and clearly you don't understand it dear brother.You let yourself be exposed and you let yourself love after years of staying distant."

"I stayed distant because I knew it would cause pain.And after losing homes I knew that,and then I made the mistake of loving a family that was only half of me."

"Your not the only one who's loved them.But your the one who opened yourself yet again and let things get bad,I've seen your memories. Even if you didn't mean it you've caused more suffering for others than anything of help."

"Says the one who killed his sisters and dashed as his father shattered."

"They didn't fight enough,and Father was weak at heart as you are.Pathetic,falling for a human."

"Humans are not pathetic."

"Says the one who lived with them.You let them sneer and poke and chuckle and joke."

Ash listened to them fight, leaning against the wall, crossing his arms over his chest
