She takes a few drops of water and let's them fall over the flame
He can see them fall on the flame and seek It flicker, but stay up
" The water is the impulse, the instinct, and the beast. Protect your flame from it. Protect yourself."
She lets a few more drops fall
He can see them falling in the reflection in her eyes, getting closer and closer to the flame

Using the magic he knows, he created a small, transparent disc over the flame at an angle. He fought back the beast for the concentration, and continues holding it.
