She crouches next to his head, brushing the hair from his face. She kisses his cheek before standing and quietly walking down the stairs.

He keeps snoring.

She continues on to the kitchen, smiling up at Maven as he sets down her breakfast plate.

"Where is Tirou?"

"Asleep in the hall on a beanbag chair." She shrugs.

He nods, confused but ignoring it.

He keeps sleeping.

She begins eating, looking out the window to see some guards messing with each other.

He keeps snoring.

One of them comes in, shaking his wet hair. It was raining outside, they were messing in the mud. She glares at him, silently daring him to take a step on the wooden floor with his muddy shoes. She nods to the rack next to the front door. He chuckles, smiling apologetically before taking off his wet, muddy shoes and putting them on the rack. He yells at the guards outside to do the same, they grunt in acknowledgment.

He keeps snoring.

She chuckles, finishing her breakfast a few minutes later. She rushes over to the front door, her feet bare as she walks out onto the porch and sits down, watching them mess in the mud. They were completely muddy
