The preacher said, "And now, as our beloved angel blesses our new members, let us all reflect on the angels and give thanks for their eternal love." Electa tensed as people got settled, some bowing their heads, some closing their eyes. A deep, waiting stillness fell over the church. And then she saw it. An angel had appeared, a glorious haloed creature of radiant white light and stretching wings. Her breath wilted in er chest. Drifting to the floor, the angel landed beside the first of the new members. It reached out with hands of light, burying them deep into the girl's energy field. It was draining her. Her energy field shrank in on itself like a deflating balloon.
"No," she whispered. She had meant to scream the word.
People were murmuring, "Please blessed angel, please come and greet our new members." Nobody else had saw it except Beth(the girl), Alister and Electa...
It move to do the same to the other two energy fields

Alisters eyes widened in disbelief.. he never saw someone feed before and he never knew it drained their auras.. Alister himself had an aura- but being half angel his was a lot more powerful in the sense it had more energy.. he was scared they might notice it and shuttered. He was afraid..

Once all three had been drained, the angel departed, vanishing upward into the brightness of the vaulted ceiling. The preacher said something, all three smiled and nodded. He grabbed his mic, "Our angel has been here! It has blessed our new members!" The congregation burst into cheers and applause. Smiling broadly, the three of them each took a different aisle, slowly making their way down it. People leaned forward to shake their hands, pat them in the back, or embrace them. Electa sat up straight. Her friend, Beth, was in her aisle. When she reached Electa, she froze.
"You," she breathed. Her eyes widened, and she took a step backward. "Why are you doing here?"
Electa rose to her feet. "I just wanted to talk to you for a second."
"Get away from me." Her face was white, her lips pinched. Everyone nearby was watching the two.
"Look, can't we just step outside and talk?" She started to touch Beth's arm, but he jerked away.
"My angel told me you'd be gone by now," she hissed.

Alister was scared, but still the half-angel was ready to jump strait into the battle if needed.. something was very wrong here. They were all so nave.. too nave.. They were fodder. They were all just tools to some of the angels. It was horrible. Just.. so horrible. He felt sick to his stomach.

"Sure. Thank you," she said

Beth's cheeks had gone paper-pale, a single spot of plot on each one. "You're never going to hurt them, Electa," she said softly. "I'm not going to let you." she turned and ran back up the aisle, her blue robes churning over her calves. Beth was now talking urgently to a man with sandy hair, pointing back at Electa. It was her angel. He was in his human form. She found Alister and grabbed his arm. "Get out. Now," she warned
