Blue slowly approached a house and creeped around the corner. She looked around surprised she was not attacked by anyone yet. She sat down against the wall of the house and pulled out some crackers from her backpack and ate them quickly. She then pulled out a ferret treat and gave it to Shadow.

Battlecries could be heard throughout the town from the two fighting forces, some families being taken through hidden allyways by the light cloaks taking them to safety.

Blue could hear the battle cries and gulped. She closed her eyes and wished she hadn't thrown the steak knife at the man so she would have some form of protection.

a loud barking was heard from behind as a wolf leaped to attack Blue, but a light cloak jumped in the way, the wolf clamping its fangs into his shoulder before another light cloak swung in and killed the wolf, then the two boys killed the dark cloak together.

Blue saw the two boys kill the wolf silently hoping it wasn't Kia and his friend. Blue stood up and sighed. "Lets hope it isn't them, believe me, this day has been bad enough." She whispered to Shadow.

A blood red eye made contact with Blue before he said something and then jumped away with the other light cloak boy. The two jumped across rooftops, sometimes swooping in on the dark cloak army for a sneak attack as they were shot at, but luckily avoided.

Blue looked around. "Shadow, I may have made a mistake coming back." She said as she felt her arm where she was bit. She sat back down realizing that she had a higher chance of surviving by staying where she was then running off again. She pulled a ferret treat out of her backpack and gave it to Shadow.

"And she says we haven't saved anyone" Angel laughed once they were in a safe spot. Kai smiled, laughing quietly along with him. Angel and Kai both had their spirit animals in dormant state as they scouted for more people who needed to be rescued.

"Sakura, we've received word of a town being attacked, are you coming with us?" Sylver asked, bursting into the garden, causing Evelyn to jump. "Oh! Sylver! I'll come, I want to help!" Evelyn volunteered. Sylver nodded, telling her Rhys was already on the boat, and to meet him there. She nodded, running off to the docks.

"Shadow, if I fall asleep, nip my hand. It's been a long day, and as much as I'd love to fall asleep and pretend all of this was a bad dream, I can't." Blue mumbled. She dug through her bag and found a small rubber ball. She smiled and looked at Shadow. "Wanna play a game?" She said as she tossed the small rubber ball to Shadow. Shadow pounced on it and Blue laughed as Shadow gnawed on it.
