Oh, and just to letch'a know, in order to ping someone there's an empty space just above the forum text box that says "Ping Users" in blue above it. Just typing @[username] doesn't actually ping the person. There's also a @ symbol at the bottom right of other users' posts that you can click, and it'll automatically set your forum reply to ping the person.
And you can ping multiple users at once, just for another random forum tip. :D
