She bent down to the robot and stroked it on the head.

It gave a little smile and rolled behind her as she walked.

Scias sighed, shaking his head. Good riddance. He didn't need some girl hanging onto him by the tails thinking he was some fairytale prince just because he picked her off the floor once.

Human emotions were so irrational, enough so to bleed into the clarity of mind of greater species. A rather unfortunate situation for this girl, but he hoped she'd realize it in time.. Or die in the process of trying. This was a war after all, not a school playground.

He threw his rifle over his shoulder sling and activated the avian drone, letting it step up onto his shoulder as its optical sensors slowly reintialized.

Right then, back to work. He'd let the girl go sulk in peace. She didn't seem to be a threat to him, even as googly eyed as she was getting. He wouldn't waste his time. But a rebel colony nearby was on his agenda.

They'd be easy pickings come nightfall. He just had to wait for Exterminator reenforcements to show up first.

She suddenly yelled back I dont think youre a fairytale prince! She thought this school playground is the most dangerous shed ever seen.

He felt somehow violated by this and flicked his tail hard and dangerously.

"Protector, if you know what is good for you, you'll run along now. It's rude to snoop." He calmly but sternly called back to her as he left the open labratory room and began walking out of the facility, not even giving her a second look. The anger was present in his voice, but he suppressed it and kept it from rising to her level for now.

I know it is! But I know when someone thinks about me in a rude way! She ran out the door and ran back to the cottage she lived in. Alone.

What a strange girl. He sighed under his breath and looked out at the horizon, trying to get a survey of the landscape. According to his intel, the colony was fairly close, but most of his leads had gone cold this far out.

Scias stretched his arm out, letting the robot bird take to the air for aerial surveillance. When he caught sight of a cottage in the distance, he furrowed his eyebrows and looked past it. Of course, he was a complete idiot. If the girl lived in the area, likely she knew of it being not far off. How else had she survived this far? She didn't peg him as a thief or raider, just some sort of lost child clinging to the fringes of society.

How sad. It was almost reassuring to him to know that she had no friends, no regrets to have over the lives he was meant to take today.
He whistled the drone back in and made his way off to the rebel settlement, almost itching for a fight.

She combed her navy blue hair again and went downstairs to grab her stuff. She needed to go get some food at the market. She grabbed her bag and money and headed off in the direction of the town.

(good question, not really sure how to go forward with things either since it's just us and IDK if there's really a plot planned out? so I guess we just do our separate things for now, lol. I'm just winging it)
