Jason rolled his eyes, and he seemed to drop his happy persona for a moment before sticking on a flirty grin again and shrugging. "Fine then. *Starts singing Katy Perry's Extraterrestrial.* Take me,Take(x3)me,wanna be your victim ready for abduction!" His tail formed quickly with a small spatter of red and swished side to side as his stinger moved in and out of it's whip thin end.

"Don't you dare," he muttered. He figured he wouldn't have time if they didn't take the portal in front of them, so he pulled Jason through. Blackness surrounded the duo, and neither of them could see anything. He pushed the invisible door back with a creak, revealing the Nevernever. Pale silver light flooded the door into the alleyway. The clearing beyond the door frame was surrounded by enormous trees, so thick and tangled you couldn't see the sky through the branches. A curling mist crept along the ground, and the woods were dark and still as if the forest was trapped in perpetual twilight. Here and there, brilliant splashes of color stood out among the grey. A patch of flowers, their petals a shocking electric-blue, waved gently in the mist. A creeper vine snaked around the trunk of a dying oak, red long thorns a stark contrast to the tree it was killing. A warm breeze blew into the ally the duo was in, carrying with it a shocking assortment of smells--smells that should not be together in one place. Crushed leaves and cinnamon, smoke and apples, fresh earth, lavender, and the faint, cloying scent of rot and decay. Clouds of insects swarmed overhead, and it was like they were singing. The forest was still at first, but then there was movement deep in the shadows and leaves rustle all around them. Invisible eyes seemed to watch them from every angle. Ash stepped through the doorway, pulling Jason through as well.

Jason's eye widened as he took all of it in as Ash pulled him through. "Dang...." He was speechless, and could he be a friggen jabber bock sometimes. His wings shifted a bit and his tail swung a bit side to side.

Ash's face was somehow leaner, harsher, with sharp angles and pointed features. A branch snapped somewhere in the tangled darkness. Ash straightened quickly. It's dangerous to linger in any one place. He strode across the clearing, moving as gracefully as a deer.

Jason found himself admiring the other boys features, and smacked himself in the head with his palm and followed because he had also seen how he had straightened and took that as a sign that he knew what he was doing when he moved. Again,he oddly found himself admiring Ash's grace as he moved.

He starts to speak, to explain. "The Nevernever is home to all fey," Ash said without looking back. "It's divided into territories, or more technically, courts. The Seelie court is Oberon's domain, while Mab rules the Unseelie territories. While in the Courts, it is usually forbidden to torment, main or kill another fey without permission from its rulers. However," he continued, looking back at him this time, "right now, we are in neutral territory, home of the wild fey. Here, as you put it back in the human world, all bets are off. The things coming at us now could be a herd of satyrs who will...nevermind. Or, it could be hedge wolves that will tear us both apart. Either way, I don't think you want to hang around."

His freckle scales instantly turned pure white, evidence of his fear, but he gave a flirty smirk with a wink to Ash. "Ha,interestin'. Well then,I'll make sure to keep my wits 'bout."

The rustling grew louder, and twigs snapped as whatever was out there drew closer. "Stop," Ash snapped, right next to him now. He grabbed Jason's wrist again. "The aforementioned nasties have picked up our scent and are coming for us." Though his voice was casual, there was a strain in his eyes. "If you don't want your first day in the Nevernever to be your last, I suggest we move."

Jason gave him a nod,not even flinching as Ash grabbed his wrist. He seemed to move the faintest amount closer to Ash as he glared around with brown and gold eyes that enhanced the scared pale white of his freckle scales that also swirled with soft ice blue around the center. The ice blue a hint of his confusion tho not his main color for it. 'Wait...does he mean I'll be here...more than one day? I thought he wanted to kill me.'

He ran for the far side of the clearing, dragging Jason with him. They were headed straight for a tangle of bushes with hooked yellow thorns as long as a person's thumb. It looked like they were going to be sliced to ribbons, but as they neared, the branches shivered and peeled away from them, revealing a narrow path cutting through the trees. As they stepped through, the bushes knitted together again, hiding the trail and protecting their retreat.
