"Yes, sir. Thank you, sir. Sorry, sir." Sam says, mentally kicking herself for asking so many questions and probably annoying Cobra. She glances up at the sky before continuing her skip next to the snake man.

"A talkative one... not usssed to dealing with your type, I usssually have really quiet people, like Lake," He stopped a deep longer growing in him, like his heart was missing a piece, "But we musst get back, Hayden mussst tell me why I had to grab you... don't worry, you don't annoy me, jussst confussse me."

Sam stops with Cobra. "I'm assuming Lake is important to you. And, I am sorry I confuse you. I will become as silent as I can." Sam says, giving him a smile.

Cobra nodded, though his eyes gave nothing away as he continued forward. By now they had reached the huge mountain that the temple of light stood on. Cobra looked around briefly before continuing, his long tail making a curvy line in the ground.
"We are almossst there," Cobra commented still not meeting Sam's eyes, it pained him more then he would admit, it had been awhile since he had thought of Lake, a person he had promised he would never see again, but he still felt a longing to see her.

"Great! This backpack gets heavier by the second. Thanks for guiding me. I probably would have gotten lost five times by now." Sam admits. "Are you... Alright?" She asks, noting his distance in mind and thoughts, not exactly distance in human tangible terms.

Cobra looked at her, pushing his thoughts away he started to climb the mountain, his scales scraping against the ground as he kept his balance.
"I'm fine, don't worry about me. Ssso what isss your power? You mussst have one," He looked up at the temple, it seemed so far away, but he would have to keep strong, for his friends.

Sam pauses, surprised yet scared that someone knew about her powers. "Who ever said I had any?" Sam says, suddenly getting defensive. Then she pauses when he said that she must have one. Sam sighs, climbing up the mountain.

"Fine. I do... But I haven't ever told anyone because I'm weird and an outcast enough without anyone knowing about it." Sam pauses to try and figure out the best way to describe it. "Well I can... Pause time from a few minutes up to an hour, but if I am not back to around the same place when time resumes... I get - with a lack of words to explain - 'lost in time' and it's hard to get back. And I can teleport if I want, but I have to be able to see the place. What about you? What power do you have? After all, you must have a power, too." Sam says, eager to know who her travel companion really was.

Cobra listened, staying silent for a few seconds as he thought of the best way to tell her.
"Well you sssee, I can turn invisssible... and I'm sssstrong," He smiled, showing off sharp fangs as he let himself blend into the rocky surface below, "You have a cool power, but it sssoundssss dangerousssss. Have you ever had to usssse your power?"

"How else would I know that I can get 'lost in time'?" Sam asks quietly, shivering slightly even though it wasn't that cold yet. "And it's not that cool if I misuse it."

"I would not be able to handle that type of power, sssoundsss to hard for me," He let himself be seen again, looking at Sam with nervous eyes, like the idea of being lost in time was to much for him, which it was, "I have a bad feeling..." He trailed off, looking around before heading to the temple entrance, which was just ahead.
