Vector folded his arms, "Hey leave being the detectives to us."
"Yeah!" Charmy stated. Espio refused to respond resigned through experience that Vector couldn't help but to be Vector and have to learn things the hard way.

So embroiled in their conversation they did not notice the topic of the conversation leaving the restaurant after having finished their meal. Felinus walked alongside he friends enjoying the evening. He might have missed his nap, but it was worth it. Besides the calories from dinner should give him plenty of energy for tonight. As he walked he had an odd feeling in his whiskers. It wasn't a danger signal. It was oddly almost....familiar. Vanilla noticed her friends sudden silence. "Anything the matter Felinus?"
Felinus shook his ears quickly and reassured her. "Nothing really, guess I'm just tired and a bit lost in thought I suppose. Its been quite a day...in a good way" he laughed good naturedly while Vanilla, Cream, and Cheese joined in.
"Guess it is time we all headed home," Vanilla said, "There's a big bake sale tomorrow that Cream and I are going to."
Felinus nodded, "I have to meet with a client in the morning myself, but I'll walk you home first."
Vanilla shook her head, "Always the gentleman." She lapsed into companionable silence remembering a certain young rabbit from her childhood and once again marveling at the similarities.

She went from roof top to roof top until she got near a park
Before taking a fire escape down, she changed back

Knuckles sighed audibly. This is getting us nowhere.
Sonic shrugged. As a hero, there was a certian lesson one had to learn; You can't save them all, and not everyone wants to be saved. This, of course, was a less extreme example.
"Alright. Whatever you think, then. That said, if you still want a 'case'..." He glanced over at Knuckles briefly and smiled at the Chaotix.

The Chaotix listened as Sonic and Knuckles outlined their investigation. Even Espio was interested enough to open his eyes.

Meanwhile after walking his friends home Felinus found a quiet alley where he could take to the rooftops. Reaching for his power he let it flood through him. He was glad of the almost instantaneous costume change. It certainly made things easier. Stretching and grinning he took off at a bounding run for the junkyard he had spotted earlier for today. It was high time for some overdue practice. It did not take long to reach his desired location. He searched the area with his eyes until he was satisfied he was alone, before leaping from the rooftop. He stood for a moment debating how to begin his routine. There were a few old tires he could leap through, piles of things he could climb and of course plenty of narrow paths for him to race on. Finally deciding on a course he crouched down and sprang into his run.

Luna came down and frowned, there were a few to many people around for her liking
She decided to take a walk
She was walking towards the thing that made her whiskers go off
She was all tensed up

"So, basically Knuckles' 'I have a bad feeling about this' sense was going off, but there was nothing on Angel Island, according to him. So he thinks something down here could be causing it." Sonic explained. "So maybe you could help us find out what that thing could be?"
