"True. They train their children to become warriors. Empress Makida says we have to join their school to train as well. The best that go there have an opportunity to meet the leaders and become their personal warriors." She flipped her dark hair over a shoulder.
(that'll be an opportunity for second characters who are in the new Kingdom)

"The Empress keeps me well informed." She held her head slightly higher. "I am her daughter after all." She wasn't biologically, of course, but she had been raised like a princess. A warrior princess.
