The cat whipped his tail. "Who are you?" He repeated. He sheathed his claws a bit, but not all the way.

He ate another leaf an studied the cat, not replying and eyes boring into the cats own. He couldn't think of a logical reply so decided to remain silent.

"If I tell you mine, will you say yours?" The cat asked, padding closer. You could see he had six, thin, long legs. "I'm Leo."

He replied simply, *I go by Velos. Whether that us my birth name or not, I can not tell you for I do not know myself* he kept his voice respectful. Usually a big cat would attack anything part deer without thinking.

The cat tilted his head, then sat down. "What are you anyway? Or do you not know that either?"He seemed to have lost all hostility as he realized that Velos was a herbivore, or at least wanted to eat mostly plants.

"I am not a cat, if that is what you are." he put it simply, he wasn't sure if he knew. He hadn't been many around like him, if any at all. No, he'd never seen one exactly like him. He decided on that then went back to eating a leaf, not too bothered by the cat and waiting for a reply.

Leo perked his ears suddenly. "Do you travel with anyone else?" He asked. You could hear the quiet clicking of claws just outside the house. The paws of whatever it was silently thumped down on the floor.

"No" Velos stood up and stared towards the door, finishing his mouthful and lifting his scaly tail, horn pointing down.

A large dog, with two heads burst into the room. He-they?-growled as his snake tail hissed and spat. Leo's eyes widened, and he let out a yowl, turning around and running away. "Run!" He yelled at Velos.

Velos took a second to absorb what was happening in. he wasn't great with sudden situations and didn't like how this dog had suddenly burst in. he sized up how big this dog was, if he could take it in the small area of the house. He wasn't much of a fighter, but tried to estimate if he could bruise it without retaining serious injuries to himself. if he decided it was impossible, he decided to follow the cat out.
