He was about to respond when she froze. "Uh...don't panic. I'm sure we can just retrace our steps," he said, pulling out his flashlight. It didn't work....

She let out a whimper. Her flashlight was losing power too and it was becoming darker in the surrounding area. "Okay, okay.. We left our phones because they weren't part of the dare... We can yell for help, but then we'd get in major trouble with the school..." She paced back and forth, tugging on her oversized hoodie's sleeves.
