Kelsey flipped her sunglasses up onto her head, her hazel eyes darting around the airport. She was nervous about returning to her hometown... and her phone had just flashed with a text.
Sean I can't pick you up. Sorry Kels- I have a meeting.
Her eyes widened and she let out an irritated growl. Who was going to pick her up now? She scrolled through her contacts, her eyes landing on a name she had tried to ignore for two years. Cole. She ignored the blush that ran to her cheeks, but sent him a message.
Hey, Cole, how are ya?

When Coles phone buzzed, everyone turned their attention to him. He replied with,
Me? Not too bad. How bout you?
Amber watched his reaction, and when she saw it, she knew who it was. So, Kelsey has finally stopped ignoring you?

She smiled to herself, sitting on the bench and closing her eyes. She couldn't help but think of why she had stopped talking to Cole- but she was unable to come up with a reason. She sighed. I wonder how the twins are doing. And Amber, and Soli. And our entire town...

She jumped up to her feet, seeing Amber's all-too-familiar truck. A smile crossed her face and she pulled her suitcase to the car, opening the door and getting in. "Still the bad driver I've known for twelve years, huh Cowboy?"
