Maia was surprised the Rebel didn't hurt her, she took off her gloves and patted Pearl on the head to calm her, that one was very odd...

"Thanks. My dad used to work for the royal guard, but he got fired for his protests that poor people should be paid equal to the richer nobles. It was his, then it was my moms after he died, but she died right after, so now it's mine." she said simply, hiding her fury directed at the royal guard.
