Arearcia clung tightly to Ivonouss back as he glided swiftly through the dark sky. She felt tears run down her face as she began to sob. Ivonous sensed her distress and his own doubled. After awhile she drifted into an uneven, light sleep. Ivonous continued to fly as fast as he could. He had to relay the news immediately before something unthinkable happened to his young master.
~Flash Back~ (Arearcia PoV)
Thyll, dont be such a moron! I laughed as Thyllrand gingerly rubbed his forehead after running headfirst into a large redwood tree.
So mean, if Ivonous was here he would be worrying about me, not laughing. I heard him grumble as he headed towards me.
Where did Ivonous go? He was here a minute ago. I commented curiously.
He went off to hunt, said he sensed a large amount to mana and thinks it could be a large animal. He left us to set up camp for the night.
Yum! I hope its Buksharah, they are very tasty. I replied, excited for a potentially good meal.
Thats what you always wish it was, never is though. Are you gonna help me set up?
No, youre the man here, arent you? I replied, hoping to provoke him into a fight.
That doesnt mean you cant help. Are you too weak to collect firewood or set up the pots? Hmmm?
His taunting was exactly what I wanted. I was bored and I wanted something to do. What better than a fight?
You call yourself a man, part of the Resistance, yet you cant even get a partner. How shameful. I replied smugly, watching as confusion swept over his face.
What do you mean? I thought you were my partner.
I mean partner partner.
Well, Ill meet the perfect woman one day. I just havent found her yet.
I felt disappointed. If he hadnt found who he was looking for, does that mean he doesnt think of me in that way?
Right. I doubt thats ever going to happen. No one would like you. You dont have a chance. I said meanly. I was upset, I wanted him to feel how I felt.
He have me a bit of a hurt look, but didnt reply. He turned around and finished setting up the camp. After about another five minutes of silence, he spoke up.
Im going to collect firewood. He said quietly as he started to walk away.
I stared at him until he left my line of sight. I sigh. I know I shouldnt have said that. I know hes been looking so long for someone special to be in his life. I was just upset it wasnt me. I sat and thought for a little bit more, thinking of how to apologise.
Suddenly, I heard a roar as Ivonous rushed to the camp. He looked around and saw me.
We have to go now. Where is Thyll?
He went to collect firewood. Is another mob of farmers following you? Let me just collect the pots and then well find Thyll. I said, not too worried. This type of thing happened all the time.
We need to go this instant. It the Zyun. Theyve found us.
I froze. The Zyun. The name that strikes fear into all elves hearts. The Zyun, the empire that hunts down elves like me and Thyll to use for experiments and then dispose of. This couldnt be happening...not again...no no no no no n-
We need to go now. AREARCIA!!
Ivonous broke into my thoughts. I looked up and nodded.
We need to find Thyll immediately. I said as I climbed onto Ivonouss scaly back.
He signalled his agreement and pushed off into the air. Soon we were flying above the forest, both pairs of eyes trained onto the floor, looking for their friend and in Ivonouss case, young master.
Finally I spotted him. He was stooped over a fallen tree, picking branches from the trunk. We circled around him, about to land, when we heard a shout. I looked behind Thyll. There, stood a dozen Zyun soldiers and archers. They had spotted us.
I called out to a Thyll. He looked up confused. I motioned behind him. He slowly turned around. I heard him gasp. They still hadnt seen him. Their full attention on Ivonous. Watching him steadily. Unknowing to who was on his back. I whispered to the dragon to use his mind link and tell Thyll to climb the closest tree so we could swoop down and get him. He complied. I watched as Thyll hesitantly sidestepped to the closest red wood.
After an agonising wait, Thyll reached the top. The Zyun were not aware of him. They hadnt seen me either. Only Ivonous. They didnt seem to worried to hour.see a dragon. Dragons were fairly common in this area and usually kept to themselves.
Quick, fly down and I will get him. I whispered to Ivonous. He made no noise as he started to move, aware of the arrows trained on him, waiting to spring if threatened.
We descended slowly. I thought it would all be fine. Wed just swoop down, grab Thyll and be on our merry way. But thats not our luck.
Suddenly I heard a shout. I shot back to look at the Zyun. There were staring straight at Thyll. I watched as they ran towards the tree, archers training their arrows on Thyll. Ivonous continued to descend until we were a few metres above Thyll. Thats when everything went wrong.
As I was reaching towards him to grab his hand, I sensed a great disturbance within the ground directly below the tree. I looked down to see a Vexaphon, one of the deadliest creatures that the Zyun Empire owns, shaking the tree. I watched as Thyll struggled to stay on.
I reached out my hand to him. I was getting closer and closer and closer. I head a gasp. Thyll let go of the tree. I stared aghast as I watched his body fall and hit the ground with a sickening thud. He didnt move. The Zyun roughly picked him up. Thats when I saw the arrow protruding from his gut, red forming around the wound. I also noticed multiple broken limbs from the fall and suspected broken ribs and even internal damage too.
I watched my friend, no, more than a friend, tears streaming down my face. They were taking him. Taking him from me. I watched him being dragged away. I watched and did nothing.
I felt movement. Ivonous started to move away. Away from the tree. Away from Thyll. I started screaming, shock forgotten.
No! We need to get Thyll. We cant leave him. If we leave he will die. Ivonous! No! I screamed hysterically, punching his back as hard as I could, struggling to get off. He stayed silent. Finally he spoke.
There is nothing we can do for him here. We can rally a group of fighters at the headquarters and then bring him back.
I was about to start up about how we wouldnt be able to find him because he would be dead, when I looked back at the Zyun group. It was huge. I would never admit it, but there was no way I would be able to take them on. I nodded and signalled to leave.
Thyll, well come for you! I promise, just hold on! I shouted as loud as I could. I saw numerous Soldiers snap their heads in my direction. Thyll however did not move, still as ever. I started to cry as Ivonous flew away.

I was on my way to Florida (Where I am currently) when I came up with this, hope it's good.
Love At First Song
Down in the dark depths of the ocean, silver hair drifted elegantly through the royal blue waters, curious light blue eyes scanned the seas quickly, a bright orange tail slapped the water with immense force. Precious, plump, pink lips were formed into a soft smile as a ship came to view, the speed of the beautiful silver hair picking up as her stomach began to growl. Although sirens spoke no English, nor any language for that matter, the name of this remarkable creature was Servius.
It was in the middle of the day, the sun high in the sky, shining down on the calm waters. The massive ship, filled with multiple men in rugged clothing, rocked and swayed at every wave the crashed into its sides. One man, out of the bunch, stood out the most. Shiny black hair blew in the wind, blue highlights making the man's hair glow almost. Piercing ocean blue eyes stayed planted on the waters before him. Jewels were upon his features, stolen jewels from various places, and clothe made from foreign lands. A pirate, but not any normal pirate, the captain of the entire ship. He is known as Captain Ace.
Servius swam as close to the ship as she could, just so her song could attract the men of the ship and wreck them, and then she'd feast on their fallen bodies. Before she could begin to sing her song, the siren had caught a glimpse of the shiny blue hair of the captain, which gave her an idea. Servius would alter the song, just so they wouldn't wreck the ship, but instead the men would be drawn to the siren. That way, she could drown the rest of the men, and keep the captain for herself. With a strong, deep breath, the female siren began to sing softly, the melody ringing out in the ears of the entire pirate crew. Ace heard the song and stopped everything he was doing as he listened closely. Then, he looked around at his men, the entire crew started to walk towards the beautiful sound, leaning against the edge of the ship. Some even jumped off, trying to desperately reach the beautiful sound. The captain, although deeply influenced by the song, didn't move from his spot, trying with all his strength to fight the urge to go towards the remarkable sound. Ace knew about sirens far too well, knowing what tricks they could play: but this one siren sounded different from what he had thought, she sounded a little more.. pleasing, in a way.
All of the men had dived into the water, only to fall to their deaths as the siren altered the song again to make them stay underwater. Captain Ace was all that was left, plus the ship, which terrified the lone pirate. The suddenly, the song stopped, leaving Ace confused and looking around the edge of the boat for the siren. Only the dead bodies of his men were visible, blood pouring out into the sea from where the siren had tore open their stomachs and slit their throats. A splash of water came from the other end of the ship, that's when the singing began again, only this time, it was more of a love song, one looking to charm a certain someone. When Ace turned around, his breath hitched at the beautiful sight before him. Servius was sitting on the edge of the ship, her orange scale glimmering in the sun, her hair blowing in the soft wind; she was the definition of beauty. Her voice was soft like an angel's, her eyes were like the sky and shined with brilliance, Ace could've sworn she was made from heaven. He even forgot about the whole situation, and the fact she just devoured his men only minutes ago. Slowly, Ace started to walk over to the so called angel, reaching out towards her; his heart was, or used to be, as black as coal, but now his heart had a small glint of light. The young pirate was falling in love with the siren, only from her song and appearance.
The siren could see the affection in his eyes, which caused her confidence to shoot through the roof. She was winning him over, just as she had wanted, Ace was now going to become her property; all she need to do was kiss him, then he'd turn into a siren and then they'd be together forever. Servius wasn't going to lie, the pirate was attractive, especially with all of his jewels and black and blue hair. As Ace walked closer and closer to the siren, the more his heart lightened up with love towards the siren. They were now close to each other, Servius cupped Ace's cheek, bringing his face closer to hers. Ace's eyes were lidded as he leaned into her touch, letting the siren do whatever she pleases. In Servius's mind, she thought," Men, so easy to please once they see something beautiful: it's the same with male sirens.." Within seconds, their lips touched, forming a gentle kiss.
Ace felt tingly inside, both, from the kiss and the transformation he was about to experience. Suddenly, Servius pulled the pirate into the water as the transformation started taking place. A terrifyingly strong pain went through Ace's legs, making him put them together. Black scales grew out from his skin, fins were on the ends of his feet, forming a tail. Servius had ripped him of any clothes he had on, his pale skin cooling at the touch of the water. The pirate's ears then began to feel like they were splitting, making him quickly cover his ears, as if that would make the pain go away. His ears were now pointed, just like the siren's ears. Naturally, he was freaking out, and he couldn't breathe, or thought he couldn't, so he was struggling against the water. Servius moved in front of him, holding his shoulders down with the massive strength she had, trying to calm him down.
"Shhh...." she whispered, looking the pirate in the eyes. Then, once Ace had calmed down, she pointed to her mouth and sang one note, a gesture to use his voice to breathe underwater. Although he was confused, Ace opened his mouth and sang a note. His lungs cleared out, making it easy to breathe through the water, which also calmed the pirate's nerves about drowning down. Then he studied himself, amazed at the black scales that ran down what used to be his legs, a bright smile spreading on his lips. The jewels were still on him, making him even more attractive looking than the female siren that swam beside him. With a small tug on his arm, Servius pulled him away from the ship, going to her home. It wasn't anything special in her eyes, just simply some coral, seaweed, and personalized stuff, plus a sponge bed.
"Woah," Ace exclaimed as he looked upon the female siren's home," This place is amazing..." His eyes were wide as he examined the room, everything was shiny! There was treasure galore in here, and that pleased the ex pirate. Servius rolled her eyes, not understanding a word he was saying, but she could tell by the look in his eyes that he was amazed by the place. With the best of her abilities, since a siren can mimic any language they hear, she tried to say," I-..It's not... m-much.." Her voice was soft and sweet, like honey or milk chocolate.
"You're too modest, it's beautiful in here!" Ace exclaimed, then he noticed the trouble she had speaking," You don't speak English..."
"I-I'm.. getting there," she smiled, starting to get the hang of it.
Ace nodded and returned to looking at the treasure, lightly touching some of it in amazement. Then two questions popped into his head, the first was why she even made him a siren, and the second was if she knew what it felt like to be a human. He decided to just ask the first one since the second may have been a bit touchy for her," Say... Why did you make me a siren?"
"You were the one pirate on that ship that caught my eye," she said simply, shrugging her shoulders, then she added on," You're special to me, so I'm keeping you as mine." This made the ex pirate's heart flutter a bit, his love for the siren only growing at these words. She said I'm special to her... That means she likes me, he thought to himself, biting his lip in excitement. The ex pirate has never experienced love before, so this must've meant something, or at least in his eyes. The siren, however, only simply saw him as a play thing, though, she will admit, she was amused by his odd behavior. But, sirens didn't feel love, when it came to mating season, a male would pick a random female siren and spread his seed, then leave the poor defenseless female to raise the children on her own. It was cruel, but luckily that hasn't happened to Servius yet. Yet. That doesn't mean she hasn't watched it happen, and she knew how weak females were during pregnancy, which only made the situation worse. All female sirens have wondered what it felt like to feel love, their heads were always full of fantasies. Maybe, Servius thought to herself, maybe I could learn to love from this former human.
"This may be a bit frank, but could you possibly teach me how to love?" She asked softly, not looking at Ace.
"Love isn't something that you can learn," the ex pirate replied, looking over at her. "Besides, I'm only starting to feel love, for the first time as well," he added, a soft blush flushing on his cheeks. You'd think pirates were more violent, but.. not Ace, he was different from most. His nature of heart was soft and gentle, only harsh when need be. Servius then looked at him in confusion," How? How does it work?"
" Well... When you meet someone that you're attracted to, and you spend more time with that person, your heart becomes fluttery and soft, making a warm feeling spread through your veins," he replied, rubbing his arm shyly.
"Then, who do you love?" she asked, moving closer to him.
"Y-you..." Ace stuttered, his face flushing darker. This surprised the female siren, making her eyes widen and her lips parted slightly. Now her cheeks were flushed a soft pink, no one's ever loved her before, so of course she'd be flustered about such a thing. Then, out of nowhere, Ace swiftly moved forward and connected their lips in a sweet, affectionate kiss. Servius flinched slightly, her heart exhilarating, her eyes were widened more, and her whole body went stiff. Gradually, she melted into the kiss, the warm feeling that the former pirate had talked about spreading throughout her body. She wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling them closer, their tails wrapping around one another's. After a few more seconds, Ace pulled away, his eyes half lidded like before, only the look in his eyes was different: they had a glint of lust. But, Servius wasn't in the mood for anything, not meaning she was upset, she was just too fluttery to have any sexual feelings at the moment.
The two newly couple continued on with life, exploring the massive seas, something the former pirate had thought of. After two to three years, Servius had three kids with Ace, two boys and one girl. The girl's name was Taiga and the boys' names were Merlin and Poseidon. The years went by, the children eventually leaving the happy couple by themselves to continue exploring. Servius had gotten a sickness from oil within the oceans, and couldn't continue exploring. Ace stayed with her until her final moments, but this caused a deep loneliness to form inside of the former pirate. He never loved again, he couldn't, so when his time came to an end, that was the first time in a long time he felt happy.
