I poked her. "Wakey wakey!" I sang in my melodic voice, then backed up. If the wrath tattoo on her forearm said anything... I was a bit nervous. I glanced at Scott, which I realized I'd been doing a lot. Oops. I blushed and looked away.

She didn't say anything.
She couldn't move.

She sat up her foot itching to kick something.
She licked her dry sandy lips.

"Me too." His gaze, she noticed, had been on Kira the entire time. She scoffed, laughing to herself inwardly about how much of a disaster he was going to be trying to impress her.

I glanced at him again, and noticed he was looking at me. I crossed my eyes and looked away. I wasn't impressed. I refused to be attracted to him. I looked at the 'wrath' girl again curiously. "I'm having a wonderful day," I said to nobody in particular, words dripping with sarcasm.

Sarai got the brushing herself of.
She tore the hostpital bracelet off and hurled it into the ocean.
"Good for you." Sarai shot back sarcastically.
She limped over to a rock and sat on, prodding her swollen ankle.

"Calm down." Aria, of course, had provided the simple sentence. "Everybody. Calm." She surveyed the group, then her eyes widened as she saw a tattoo on Scott's bicep. It was written clearly in block letters.
"What the hell is that?"
He looked down at it, and shrugged. "You have one on your back." Snickering, he pointed. "It describes you completely. It says Pride." He drew it in the sand.
She caught a glance at Kira's tattoo, still really confused.
