"I'm Finian, though most call me Fin and this is Aife." The male answered following after her. He needed to stretch his wings, they needed to be worked to make them stronger. How else would he be able to fly longer? Aife seemed not to be having any trouble, her light wings making fight easy and enjoyable. He on the other hand had wings that were made of matter similar to the very air he breathed. It was more on mange that kept him from plummeting to the ground. The tip of his horn lit up at the thought. It was strong to have a single horn sprouting from the top of ones head but he had grown to not mind it as much. It still got in the way though especially around doors.

Luciana blinked, a lunamara's version of a smile. "Nice to meet you both," she replied. The cyan light danced around the forest and trees before opening up to the main road leading to town. "Almost there," she said as she saw this. The town's window lights were visible in the dark.
(I'm going to sleep...so tired.)

(Fell asleep sorry)
"I don't think I have ever been happy to see those lights." Finian said with a smile. The light of his horn flickered some as his wings blinked out of existence for a split second. "And just in time as well." With that he glided down to the ground followed by Aife whom simply folded her wings at her side. "So Luciana, are you from around here?" He asked looking up at her head crooked to the side some in wonder.

"Technically, yes, but I work away from the town a lot to get supplies like this...I'm hardly there more than a few days at a time before I leave again," Luciana replied, gliding closer to the ground so that she could talk with the puffadores. "Honestly, this last trip was one of the farthest from town...I'll be glad to be in a bed again." she added. The red lucky dust trailed behind her like an array of tiny fireflies. 'Technically, you're from the lunemara colony in the forest,' she thought, and she frowned a bit at the sad memories, pushing them deep down where they should be.
(Don't feel bad for going to sleep, I did too.)

In the darkness, Vilas could barely tell where she was stepping. The silence of the forest didn't bother her as much as it would someone from a city; she grew up here and was used to it. What made her nervous was the thought of being in a town with many other people. Sure, she had gone with her brother a few times when he went into town, but that was three years ago. Would it still feel he same, even with all that's happened?
Zerial stayed as close to Vilas as he could, hoping to be of some comfort to her. Dozens of questions ran through his head, so he voiced some of these questions and asked Alala, "Does anyone really know what's going on? With whatever disease is causing spirits to come back? And will people in town treat me relatively normally even though I'm a ghost?" He was particularly worried about how others would treat him, but nonetheless hoped for the best.
(Just woke up and I don't think my brain is fully awake yet. Sorry if some of this is redundant or doesn't make any sense.)

"Well then you will want to hear our news. There is a settlement not far from here that we haven't found before. You got a map? I can mark it if you want." Finian offered with a wag of his tail. Aife rolled her eyes at him and bumped him with a hip before whispering in his ear. "Sure you go on ahead I'll just show her where it is on the map and be home in a bit." He smiled licking his partners cheek.

"Everyone in town is aware of the current dangers..." Alala paused before turning her head to glance at Zerial. "And blessings the disease has brought upon us. In fact, when spirits were first being resurrected, ghosts fought alongside the guard to keep poltergeists away from the citizens. They still do, although now they also go on supply runs to abandoned towns and search for more living survivors unaware of the settlement, survivors like you two." Alala gestured with her wings as she talked. "People in town should treat the ghosts with respect, and most do. A few are suspicious that ghosts and poltergeists are one and the same and should be treated as such, but like I said, they're few in number. Citizens are aware that ghosts help a lot with important duties. In fact, you should both probably get a job when you get to the town if you plan on staying. If you don't want to put yourself in danger, many citizens work as cooks, healers, or shopkeepers, and ghosts can simply guard the gate leading into town rather than going beyond it. Depending on which ghost powers you have, Zerial, I'd recommend different jobs."

"Really? Thank you, I'd like that. You should probably tell the head of the guard when you get back to town so she can send a few scouts to the settlement. We might be able to open trade with them." Luciana said as she opened her bag and pulled out a map. It was hand-drawn, traced out of an atlas from before the plague. The island was C shaped, with the town they were currently at near the tip of the C and marked as Serkilk. The rest of the island was divided into the three countries of Irgkel, Arknord, and Nirilnord. Serkilk was located in Irgkel, which took the bottom of the island.

Zerial sighed in relief before saying, "I'm glad that most people are friendly. But I don't really know what powers I have, I haven't tried anything. Guess it's something I should figure out when we get there, huh?" Zerial didn't mind being a ghost, there wasn't a lot different about it than being alive. He could talk, others could see him. The biggest change was how he had to interact with his surroundings.
Vilas thought about the idea of a job. She thought that being a shopkeeper would be rather safe, but then, searching for other survivors and going on supply runs seemed very important. After a few more moments of debating with herself, she decided to ask, "Is there a particular job that doesn't have as many people as it should? If I'm going to help, I might as well help with the things that need it most." Her voice was quiet and a bit shaky, as she wasn't used to talking with people.

"There no need, we checked it out when we went past. There wasn't anyone there. Here." With his horn he pointed to the map marking the spot where the city was. "There. There wasn't much there but there are some buildings that looked like they hadn't been raided yet."
