"Excuse me? I thought-" Rubydawn began, giving Emberstar a confused look. Then her eyes cleared. "Oh. So you haven't heard. That explains a lot."

"At the last gathering, Stormstar announced that one of his cats had gone rogue. Didn't mention which one though. Never would I have thought that it was you." She lashed her tail over the ferns, waiting for Rubydawn's next words or move.

Rubydawn - Rogue
"It was his own fault," Rubydawn spat. "He kicked me out, after I protested against one of his rulings. It was an unfair one, too. All she-cats must have a mate by the time they are twenty moons or some such, I don't remember. I never wanted a mate, and I still don't." She took a deep breath. "So all I want right now is to have a safe path down to the lake. Maybe catch a few fish, I don't know. Unless the lake is now claimed by one of your Clans?"

She lashed her tail and stood. She thought for a minute. She is right about that rule being ridiculous.. and I've never despised Rubydawn.. I wonder if my cats will accept this.. "Would you like to come back to our camp? You could stay until you are ready to go back to your clan." She looked back at Silverpaw

Silverpaw looked at her leader,and looked away.Why in Starclan would she let that rouge into our camp?She thought.What ever...It's not my decision...she said and flicked her tail.

She tilted her head to the side. "Maybe you should ask your Clanmates first. I'd hate to force them to accept me. And I don't plan on returning to StormClan anytime soon anyway, even if-" she paused and shook her head. "That's not important. So if you go ask, I'll just...wait here. I promise it." She would like to be able to see Longpace again, but she had never really liked Brightshadow. But they had stayed with Stormstar and his Clan, and she had left, and that was that.

Lonpace and Brightshadow - StormClan
Longpace methodically poked through his fish and glanced up at Stormstar. "Should we start a hunting patrol, Stormstar? I'm willing to lead it, if need be," he commented. "We could always use more prey. And I think I remember from a few moons back that fish scales were good protection against rain, so perhaps we could use them to build up rain defenses on the dens."

Brightshadow shook himself. "You can swim, go catch as many fish as you like. I'm going to stay on dry land and find some squirrels or something." He hastily took another bite of his vole. "See you later!" And with that, he dashed out of the camp and into the undergrowth.

Longpace sighed and took another bite. "We should probably go send someone after him."

"Come on slowpoke I want to get to the entrance tunnel before Longpace and Stormstar see us!" SilverKit whispered to her fire colored sister, GingerKit, who was lagging behind.

"So soon? Just feels like yesterday they opened their eyes for the first time," Longpace said, shaking his head slowly. "And now I sound like an elder." He closed his eyes, basking in the warmth of the sunlight.
