If not a mouse, what do most artists use on the computer? I also find it difficult.

I drew some flowers for my mom for mother's day, but I spent FOREVER on them, so I figured I'd take a picture of them before she put the drawing in her closet for the rest of eternity, never to be seen again:

I use a touchpad and, occasionally, a Wacom tablet.
I mean, the tablets are cool, but I just like using the touchpad more.
