I apologize for taking over... I just wanted to make a point that your art is great, your asking prices are great. Keep doing what you're doing!

@Shrike
You are 100% right in that first post. I'm only accepting a couple gold requests atm and I realize I lowered my prices a lot; I ended up using the conversion from my Flight Rising treasure prices to make my gold prices here because the gem conversion would have been in the millions and that just felt like an awful asking price tbh.
And if I hadn't worked out the prices with an actual customer, I probably would have been hurt and second guessed myself into super low prices. I used to do that on Gaia until my best friend literally slapped me and told me to stop doing that to myself and she started setting my prices lol After that I started appreciating the amount of work and time I spend and trying to price accordingly.
@Elimini
; v ; Thank you for art compliment. <3
We worked out my prices for gold so I could open up that avenue for people without real money/gems; I didn't realize this would happen lol
@Rose
Shrike's first post outlined it really well before everything else was said. xD
Before anything else; I know you weren't trying to be rude and you're really young but art markets everywhere severely undervalue art and it's become a really touchy spot for a lot of artists! It would be illegal for me to go work in a retail store for $0.35 for 2-5 hours; it would be against labor laws for me to work anywhere for that little but artists are expected to. That's why it becomes a touchy area to breech.

Honestly, the TV analogy is 100% NOT a good example to use. Why? Because they are mass produced. The TV at all the different stores is the exact. same. device.
My art will always be different from other peoples art and the product you are buying from me will be different from what you could buy from someone else, no matter the price difference. There are hundreds of small factors in this, including skill level, training level, life situations, perception of the world, time spent, etc. When you buy a commission from an artist, you aren't getting something mass produced. You are getting something that is completely custom and original.
I understand the friendly debate, but it will always come down to what the artist wants to charge and if the customer wants to pay it. If someone doesn't want to give me quite that much imaginary money for my service, I'm a-okay with that. Like I said before, I tend to be an emotional mess and even with super nice people commissioning me requests can be an ordeal for me because I tear everything I do to pieces and hate it and don't want to disappoint who I'm doing the work for. ((That's honestly why I'm not offering finished pieces unless for high auction prices or real money. Took me 2 hours just to line the head and one hand and lay down flats. i'm so slow /sob)). I want someone to buy my art because they actually like it and WANT to buy it, not because it's cheap and easy to get.

Please do not hijack someone's personal thread with a debate. I have removed all posts off topic.
Additionally, it is considered harassment to publicly hassle someone about their prices (whether too high or too low). While I think this may be the first in regards to artwork, this has been a frequent problem for the selling and buying of pets.
Please just be respectful while posting in other players' auction threads. If you don't agree with their pricing, then don't buy what they're selling or don't sell what they're buying. But they obviously chose the price for one reason or another and that isn't any concern to anyone but them.
Thank you.
