After a few minutes of walking, the two of them stumbled across what was left of a campsite. However, whoever had lit the fire had attempted to put it out. There were some wrappers that once held something similar in shape to a granola bar, but what they held was unknown due to the lack of any sort of lettering on it. Skylar picked up one, examining it, "Any ideas as to how we could figure out where these people went?" It was clear they had left recently, but there were no obvious signs as to where they went. At least to Skylar, "Do you have any ideas as to where people would go in this sort of situation?"

Pax would look down at the ground, seeing footprints. "I don't know where they would go, but there are footprints." His trench coat would move a bit, my hands coming out and touching the soil. "Freshly Printed, so they aren't far." He'd then turn back to Skylar. "Do you want to follow them?"

Skylar looked in the direction of the footprints, "If anyone knows what happened here, it's the people who have always been here," she looked in the distance, "We probably shouldn't put our guard down though. It doesn't take a genius to know that we're out of place here." She looked at her clothes. Even if she didn't know what people looked like here, she knew that they didn't wear what she did. Pax might pass, but not her.

Pax would look out to where the footprint's led, and going back to skylar. "All right, let's get going then." He'd follow the footprints, slowly following print by print.

As the two of them followed the prints the best they could, Skylar found herself looking back towards the direction of the building. Despite the distance they had covered, it could still be seen, breaking the sky's openness. It was really a strange sight among the rubble strewn landscape, amplifying how ominous it already was. She eventually turned to face the direction they were headed, spotting what appeared to be one of the people who had made the fire. She alerted Pax, "There's one of them. It's best that we're careful now. We don't know how they'll react to us."

(There's three of them. Two adult men and a teenage boy. All of them are wearing backpacks carrying supplies and food. None of them carry guns, but all of them have some sort of weapon. The only one visible is a spear, which is doubling as a walking stick to one of the males. Their clothes are covered in mud and tattered, and any color they once held has been bleached by the sun and dirtied by grass and soil. I hope this setup is good enough for you.)

Pax would quickly bring Skylar behind the tree, sitting her down. "Stay here, i look like i belong in a world like this, and i don't want you to get hurt." He'd bring his 9mm pistol, quickly checking to see if it was loaded, then putting it back. He'd then leave to slowly approach the man, a calm look on his face.

Skylar remained hidden, but couldn't help but peek from behind the tree. Hopefully Pax fit in just enough to not create too violent of a response from the others.

Pax didn't alert the man he approached, but the other two that were a part of this small group did. They quickly shouted something to the man in front of Pax, causing him to turn around, his body posed in defense as if expecting a violent response from the person who had been following him. He clenched a small knife in his hand as he spoke, "What do you want?"

Pax would look at the man, his eyes blank. "I was wondering where we are and what happened." He'd say this calmly, trying to make himself not look like a threat. "I woke up here and i have no idea how i got here."

The man's pose didn't change, but he chuckled a bit, "We? Oh, so you think you can waltz on into our group like we've known you our whole lives?" At this point the other man and a young teenage boy had joined in, the boy nervously grabbing the spear he had been using. The other man held a machete, that, while it looked dull, could still be used as a dangerous weapon. The first man continued, "As for where you are, you're standing in what used to be an urban city in America, as for what happened," he chuckled again, "We've only heard one other person ask that, and he came from that place." The other two members of the group took up a defensive stance, expecting a violent result, "Now, why don't you tell us how you really got here?"

(Yeah, not exactly the best idea to ask what happened. Mainly because everyone else would know, even if it had been 100 years since the event. The end of the world would be something passed down in some sense.)

Pax would chuckle, taking off his trench coat and grabbing his 9mm pistol, aiming it at the people. "I bet you already figured that out." His face darkened, and sighing a bit. "I don't want to hurt anybody, but i will fight back." He'd remain still, aiming his gun. "All i want to know is how 'That' place got us here and what happened."
