I got my username from Naruto!
I haven't, ya know, WATCHED it though. XD
One day I was just randomly flipping through channels and saw a hot anime dude screeching "Chidori"! XD I have since found out that "Hot anime dude" is called Sasuke. ....And Chidori just kinda stuck as a favorite username for me. O-O I REGRET NOTHING.
I sorry but ROFLMAO, that's so freaking funny XD wish I had a funny story like that for my username. I just made it up one day looking at an elf I designed on a game called mabinogi, I sat there like Kinuna.. that seems like a good elf name...

Legit. Only he turns out to be a total jerk, attempting to kill his best friends, his fellow villagers, his teacher, and the girl who had a HUGE crush on him. You know, nothing too bad.

One of the first one I watched was S-cry-ed. It's this awesome show where an island of people have developed a special abilities called alters. It's a cool anime if you ever check it out.

Lets not go there ok? I would like to request you remove that message please. It is an attack to sasuke fans and an opener for a battle between fans. I do not wish for anybody reading these posts to feel uncomfortable. True or not does not matter.
So no sharing your hate/dislike of a character please. Make everybody feel they can love/like who ever they want withoud feeling bad for it.
Some people dont like him some people love him. I don't want anybody to feel attacked because somebody doesn't like their character.
Anyway, this place is not to bash characters, everyone is free to like who they like. Dislike or hate does not need to be shared here. This place is for people to share their love for anime and manga and it's characters.
So lets keep doing that.
Chidori, I just love how you got that name!! It's very random and funny.

My starter anime was Sailormoon. I had a friend that got me back into it a long time back. I then started devouring anything I could find for a while there. I haven't really been keeping up very much with recent anime for the few years so this will be an interesting thread to watch for some recommendations.
My favorite anime are in a tie between Zeta Gundam and Legend of the Galactic Heroes. I also really loved Gunbuster which had an ending that made me cry (that might be rated for adults by Western standards though). I really like Universal Century (U.C.) Gundam most though I do like Gundam in general. I also really like the original Macrosss. I haven't seen much of Macross 7 but I have seen all of Macross Frontier and did enjoy it. It was really fun seeing a Zentradi shopping mall!
There's lots more series I love. Of more modern (sorta) anime, I have seen Bleach and Naruto but prefer the manga to both. (I don't like filler material very often.) Opposite of other opinions here I like Naruto more after the time skip. There's this repeating of generations that's interesting to me. And I very much loved at least the first anime adaptation of Fullmetal Alchemist. I hadn't seen the other show yet nor have I read much of the original manga.
There's been several manga that I adore. I won't get into all of them here but I adore Twentieth Century Boys and the ending Twenty-First Century Boys. I really think that's the best manga I have ever read. I would attach a mature warning on it just to be safe. Also, Pluto is another one I love by the same mangaka. It's based on a couple episodes of Osamu Tezuka's Tetsuwan Atom (Astro Boy). In the manga, Europol robot detective Gesicht is trying to solve the murders of very powerful robots possibly being murdered by another robot. Monster (mature) is another of his manga. This follows the story of a Japanese doctor practicing in Germany suspected of murder and trying to track down the real killer. There's much more to it than that but it was a really fun read. I didn't care very much for the ending to be honest but it's still very good. There's an animated version that I haven't seen but heard good things about. Right now the mangaka is working on a new series called Billy Bat which I know nothing about yet.
Also, almost forgot about Twelve Kingdoms. I always loved kirin and Twelve Kingdoms does have kirin. Twelve of them. I saw all of the anime based on the book series and then read as much of the books as I could. Unfortunately, the company doing the translations lost the rights and so the English translations of the books are stuck. There's some interesting differences between both the novels and anime and I'd recommend both. I joined Sylestia immediately when I saw I could make a kirin-looking pet here. Sorry to do a book recommendation when this is about anime and manga but it's at least a bit related thanks to the anime.

WARNING: Spoilers for the Wolf's Rain Manga!
*Sobbing*
I...I just finished reading the Manga for Wolf's Rain. (I'm supposed to be in class, but the bullying just become a bit to much...-.-)
I...It was so very different from the Anime, and the last page had me sooo Confused for a while, until I remembered the two orphaned boys from earlier. Looking at the two, who were just toddlers the last time we saw them, I'm realizing just how long the whole war went on.
I'm pretty sure the gang all survived, not all to sure, lol. And of course, What happened to Kiba! OMG, SOOOO different from the anime!!!
If you guys want to challenge your knowledge of Wolf's Rain, or just flat-out hated the ending of the anime, READ THE MANGA!!
