"No, you don't have a choice. Because I physically cannot make it through this tha'orvokk forest." He snorts exasperatedly and shakes his head from side to side, startling the tiny dragonfly that had foolishly decided to land on his snout. "We'll be just barely above the tree, so you should still be able to get your bearings." He smirks.

"Fine... okay. " her voice was a touch too unsure for how bravely she simply climbed up, the smooth of her skin touching anywhere she landed. "Its not far. So. Just head this way until you smell the moss, then...shift to the left slightly. Its near the rock face hill..."

"Take off can be a bit, rough. Hold on" Nyzaennath's smooth green scales give little purchase as he leaps into the air, the small rider on his back lurches forward as the dragon flaps his wings, strong strokes lifting him above the trees. Once he gets above the forest his wings slow, gliding on the wind, the terrible lurch ends as he soars, following Nixi's instructions carefully.

Like small hooks Nixi's fingers dig in to what ever she can grasp onto once the beast lurches forward and the dig in tighter as she takes in the view around her. This was all very new. The air felt thinner and her head light but she relaxed all the same, uncurling her fingers before stretching out her lanky form and laying flat along the beast's back. With her eyes fixed to the sky just barely above her Nixi smiled widely flashing her teeth to no one but the Gods.

"This is...amazing" She whispers to the wind as it chases down her body. Never in her life had Nixi ever felt so free. Weightless, sure- but this, flying, it had it's own feeling all together. Her body felt like it was humming with joy at the idea of never giving this moment up. How far away could she really go? To lands untold? To places unknown? Away completely from the trouble and doubt this place had placed on her head from such an early age. But the truth was that dream was as far off as the stars and with a struggled full breath of air Oceanmist let it go and rolled back over to watch the trees zip past under them. "It's not far off- you can smell the moss already... I bet I could see the rock faces if I stood..."

Nyzaennath glances up at her noticing the look of joy and hope on her face he smiles. Nixi hears a voice, not unlike Nyzaennath's that seems to come nowhere, and everywhere. "If you want to stand there's not much I could do to stop you. A gryphon's, or dragon's back is their greatest weakness, and as a rider your duty is to protect it." Quoting one of Screechwind's favorite speeches in a really badly done impression of the grizzled gryphon teacher, he laughs. "Promise you won't tell the old bird I said that."

Freezing Nixi looked down at the best and with her eyes wide and nearly perfectly round she spoke in a calm tone. "Al-alright. I wont." The urge to suddenly jump was almost overbearing as she shakily rose to her knees.

Shifting her body seemed to catch at the wind, whipping her hair wildly about and pressing her body back farther than she would normally stand but she had been right before. The rock face was tucked away behind the thicket of the trees but it was just to their left, up ahead. "There! I can see it!" Shouting at her loudest Nixi almost jumped in pleasure at being right.

"Lay down and hold on, I'll need to bank if I want to make this." His voice does that strange thing again, she can't hear him but she knows that Nyzaennath is talking to her. He tilts his body sideways slightly, enough to facilitate his turn but not enough to throw Nixi from his back. He slows as nears the water, touching down in the cold shallows at the edge of the riverbank. "So." He says normally, smirking. "Better than the first flight?"

Kicking out of her shoes as soon as her feet touch down Nixi wades out into the crisp water with a sharp smile. She had become so excited that she'd ignored the beast and started tossing her belongings from her body up on the shore near her shoes until she was in her most natural state for swimming. Her body seemed to sink into the darker waters, her hair drifting out around her blending into the vegetation growing under the surface. After a moment or two she was all but a murky trail of movement in the waves no easier to spot than the fish she was weaving around.

Under the water Nixi could relax. Letting go of any idea of fear or trouble and focusing on being an apex predator. Her long fingers seemed to knit together as she worked to snatch fish from in front of her as her body shifted in the soft rolls of the waves happening around her.

Now with three rather large fish in hand Nixi made her way closer to shore so she could somewhat surface. Popping her head out of the water until her eyes locked on The dragon she gave a sickly smile from under the water and launched the fish his way.

The dragon gives Nixi a curious glance as she launches herself into the water and he wades into the shallows behind her, surprised at the speed in which she leapt into the water. He goes to speak but stops when the fish go flying by his head and he catches them all in midair, one, two three. The fish go down is gullet, whole of course, and he licks his lips.

With a brave, wild look to her eyes Nixi darts back under without a sound leaving only silent ripples to show she was even there. She could feel her body shifting but the thrill of the hunt masked out any fear she might have normally felt at being caught.

Dragging her fingers along her bangle until it gave a faint click and uncurled form her arm Nixi let her legs do most of the work of moving her forward under the water. Now with weapon in hand OceanMist was in full huntmode and waisted no time slicing along each fish she pasted letting there dead bodies float to the surface for the beast to enjoy.
