I kept the colors in the same spot and just darkened them or made them more vibrant.
Where there's smoke...
This one was done after strawberries.

I used my favorite color scheme types, and one with no type, just something I liked. Hope you like them! :3 Also, sorry if these are very similar to anyone else's. I looked t all of them, but I don't remember all of them. >.< The sizing is 170, is that okay? It was just bothering me that they didn't all fit on one line at 200.

There were a lot of really great entries, it took me a long time to pick... and I've decided instead of 1 griffi, I will give away an additional 2 SD griffis to the runners up!
Third place gets this boy:

Mima's design! I love that this is a complementary colour scheme and it works because the yellow is so subtle and the purple is a bit darker and secondary to the yellow. It reminds me of an angel! I think a bit more contrast would have made this design better.
Second place gets this female:

Another complementary scheme that works very well, and I love that this recolour doesn't require too many dyes!
First place gets the original prize on first post:

Black, dark grey and a bright colour (I love the teal/cyan) is always a great combination and you made these very dominant traits look much more interesting. Loses points for "uniqueness" but the recolour itself is great!
I judged based on what caught my eye, what I remembered while going through the thread about 100 times and how colours were used. The chosen designs reminded me of themes or had much potential to inspire me and make it my own. It was very informal.. and I honestly wish I had enough prizes for everyone to get something... in the end I just had to pick and this was the outcome.
Thank you everyone who participated, this thread definitely generated some ideas for future recolour projects!
