Jack looked at Sheptha a little displeasure on his face jack had no intention of taking the bag and he told Sheptha so "he was asking if you were hungry and what your favorite fruit was" Luffy offered to Sheptha and Mia "Jack can use a bit of magic himself and makes food with it for people he likes I have never seen him this friendly with anyone in fact your the first person I have met he hasn't held at gun point" Luffy laughed at jack as he pulled a pistol out of thin air with magic and handed it to Mia

Mia's face grew dark and she shoved the gun at Luffy. She grabbed Jack and put him on the boy's shoulder. She grabbed her bag and stormed off. "Come on Sheptha." She said to the goat as she walked away. She didn't like being talked to and liked being touched even less. She wasn't mad a the boy for catching her, but that monkey, he was being even more of a pain then Sheptha normally was. She shook her head blowing her hair out of her face. Sheptha told Jack he should have listened to him and walked slowly after Mia. Mia's face turned a little red. She hadn't meant to be forceful but that boy had tested her too much.

Jack followed Sheptha jumping onto the goat's back lightly and giving it a hug before slipping a necklace on him with a glowing blue and gold gun pendant jack smiled and caught up to Mia he stayed on the floor this time and offered her an apple

Sheptha smiled at the Monkey. Although he didn't think it was smart to continue after Mia he seemed like he might have a good chance of her not throwing him across the room. He looked back at the boy and bahed at him hoping he'd come back over. Mia looked down at the monkey. "No thank you." She said as she continued walking.

Jack made a small sad sound before he fell to the ground with a thud he lay on the ground not moving or breathing "Jack" Luffy run up to the little monkey picking him up a great sadness in his eyes the little monkey lay dead in his arms

Sheptha looked up at the little monkey worriedly and bahed after Mia for her to stop. Mia heard some distress in Sheptha's tone and turned back around. She walked back a little more quickly then she had gone. She shoved her hand up her bands making her face show not realizing. Her freckles stuck out a lot. "Did I do something?" She asked licking her lips scared she had hurt him.

The two girls and boy got off the bus, walking into the school building.
"Great. The first day off school, and we're late!" grumbled one of the girls, who had long green hair.
"Jualo, clam down. I'm sure they'll understand. We ran into....a bit of trouble, but here we are, only a few mintues late. We're fine, as long as it doesn't happen again." The other girl replied, her long black hair braided and tossed to the side of her shoulder. Jualo just kept silent and walked into the building.
"Hey, girls, do you know what class we're going to first?" The boy asked. Jualo and Shanie looked at him, and then started to walk again, Jualo shaking her head at Jake.

Luffy's voice echoed with sadness as he hugged the little monkey to him " If jack gets to emotional he dies he was trying to apologize to you and when you didn't accept his apologie" Luffy bent his head his hair falling over his face making him look extremely angry and deadly "it's my fault when I was younger I was attacked by another zodiac member in my family when I showed promise as part of the Monkey clan he attacked me tried to put a curse on me I had just brought jack home his mother was killed by pochers and we didn't think he would make it threw the night I had him in my arms when my uncle attacked me and tried to curse me but jack he got in the way he saved me if it weren't for him this would be me he saved me from the worst possible fate for a monkey... for one of our clan to reach there full potential they have to learn to live in the moment and feel all they can feel the curse keeps you from doing that if you do it kills you...you can come back but...you forget all but your most precious memories and.... someone needs to be willing to help you to be willing to die for you...That's why I came to this school to find a way to break the curse on poor jack" Luffy hugged the Monkey to him his eyes glassed over as if he was dying and a huge deep gash opened up on his chest and started to bleed by all logic he should be dead the gash ran from his right shoulder to his left hip and there was no way a normal person could live threw what was going on pain consumed Luffy and he yelled out with the force of it the sound was enough to shake the walls the little monkey fell from his grasp and lay on the ground for a time before he started moving he sat up and chattered at Luffy laughed who stayed doubled over for a few minutes before slowly sitting up the blood that pooled on the ground rose up back into the wound and the wound sealed itself but a scar appeared where the gash had been his eyes cleared and became normal again and he took a deep breath in he looked at Mia for a time " sorry you had to see that" he said trying to stand but fell back down

Mia held her hand on her mouth. She didn't know if she felt awful because of seeing it happen or, it being her fault that it had happened at all. She decided to step out of her comfort zone just this once and grabbed Luffy's arm with both hands and pulled to help him up. "No I'm sorry. It was my fault." She said then put down her bag and swung her backpack from over her shoulder and reached down in it. "Maybe you could find the curse in here." She said pulling out a book that had big bold red letters on the front saying 'The legends of curses'. She held it out to the boy. "It's unlikely but it might have something in there.... I've read it before but I don't quite remember reading about something like that." She shrugged. "Don't get your hopes up." She said as her cheeks turned a little red. She noticed her bangs had gotten stuck over her face letting her freckles show. She hung her head letting the bangs fall back where they were suppose to be. She hoped that her accursed freckles had helped hide the blush before Luffy saw it. Sheptha nuzzled at Jack to see if he'd wake up soon. He hoped he would, they were missing a good moment to get Mia to be the boy's friend.

Nightmare looked at the odd fruit before looking back over to Manfred, also awaiting his decision. Manfred looked at the girl again, then back down to the fruit. There were a few moments of silence as he was in thought before he nodded to Nightmare who slowly bit into the fruit. He suddenly whinnied in delight which ended up sounding a lot more ominous and dark than intended. Manfred was still a bit skeptical of this new person though. "You speak of other such creatures who meld with the shadows. I have met none other than Nightmare with such an ability..." Nightmare seemed to whinny in return.
