Martha thought for a second thinking about the words for some spells that might help. She shrugged off the other man's hand off her shoulder. "You are right. Sorry I'm not usually like this, I just had a d..." She stopped before she finished the word. She cleared her throat. "I had something to do tonight." She stood up and rolled her shoulders. "So should I use a spell to see if any one else is here?"

Charlotte turned around and looked at the other girl. She was obviously scared. "It'll be okay and no I don't know where we are but I feel like I've been here before...." She smiled slightly to her. "I'm Ghost. You are?" She asked wondering. Charlotte pulled out her boe staff just in case.

"Yeah." Daniel answered. "There might be other people like us here. Probably terrified and confused."

(Sorry. I'm strapped for time right now so I'll write more when I can)

Kestrel wondered what Martha had been saying, but she decided not to push it. There were more pressing matters at hand. She nodded. "I agree with... Sorry, what did you say you're name was?" she said, hoping he hadn't said his name at all. She hated it when she forgot people's name. She wondered who else was in the building, if anyone.

Lark hated the fear that was overwhelming her. It was stupid. There was no immediate danger, unless Ghost was a threat. She shook away that thought and mentally berated herself for allowing the other girl to see her fear. She stood up so she wasn't leaning against the wall and said, "I'm Blue Moon. It does seem familiar..." she said. "How did you get here?" she asked, wanting to know if they got here the same way.

Martha decided it would be best to just do her spell and ignore the others for a little bit. She went over toward the room that she had found Kestrel in. "dniF rehto snamuh." She said in her quiet voice. She closed her eyes and tried to look around the house using magic. Something blocked her once she got to where Kestrel was standing. She stood there in shock. Nothing had stopped her powers before.


Ghost looked over to Blue Moon. "I haven't the foggiest. All I remember was getting in my room after a patrol..." She looked round and left the room. "Come on let's find a door to outside."

(Lost my train....)

"I didn't say but since we seem to all be going by our hero names you can call me Dark Whisper. Oh, wait. No you can't!" Daniel reached into his coat pocket, pulled out a black eye mask and put it on. "Now you can call me Dark Whisper."

Kestrel grinned at Dark Whisper. Then she turned to see how Martha was doing with the spell. She hoped she wasn't interrupting her focus when she spoke, but she was impatient and said, "Is there anybody?" She glanced around the hall.


Lark nodded to open space since Ghost had left. She quickly followed her, not wanting to be in that room alone. She looked both ways before turning right down the hallway. "If we follow the hallway, there's bound to be some door," she explained, a knife out of her belt.

Martha looked up at her. "Funny thing. I can't seem to see past you..." Her eyes glanced at the weapon Kestrel had. "Is your scythe made of Nyth metal?" She asked knowing that that metal could mess with magic.


Ghost nodded. "Yup that's the plan." She heard something from above them. "Did you just hear those foot steps?" She asked knowing that she was probably just imagining them. She continued walking looking at the ceiling.

(Sorry can't think!)

Kestrel shook her head. "Nope. It's made of special rocks from where I live. None of which are metallic," she said, shrugging her shoulders. "I doubt it's my wings," she said, flapping them slightly for emphasis. "So metal messes with your magic, huh?" she says, looking for anything metal, and finding none, she turned back to look at Martha.

Lark nodded, "I heard them," She grabbed a small metal ball from her belt and threw it in the air. Using her power over magnets, she maneuvered it through a crack in the ceiling. She let it fall back into her hand and looked at it. "There are people up there," she says. "Look," she holds the metal ball toward Ghost so she can see the picture on the screen.

"It could be something else." Replied Daniel. He stomped his foot on the ground making a hollow thumping noise. "From the sound of it this place has at least two levels, maybe something on a lower floor is messing with your spell?" He turned to the two girls. "Either of you know where the stairs are?"

Martha looked at Kestrel. "Not exactly. Just Nyth metal. I thought it might be your scythe because that's wha Hawkgirl's mace is made out of..." She looked over to the guy. "That could be it but the only other person who could do that to my powers that I know of are my mother and grandfather."


Ghost smiled at the girl. "Cool trick. My turn." She pulled her hood in front of her face and let the extra drop over her face and she disappeared into the darkness as the mystified cloak she was wearing turned black. She lifted he boe staff and looked around slowly. Sometimes the stupid cloak would show her what she wanted to know.
