Huh, it looks like Kavaratti been making some incorrect assumptions here. It's a hard decision to making, choosing to leave everything behind, and he'd thought that Alexis wouldn't make it. It seems like there's no lost love between her and her father at this point though, nor with the rest of the village. Thinking about the abuse she's suffered this night alone; he can see why.
Maybe it's time for him to return home. He has been feeling a bit homesick, after all.
"I could bring you," Kavaratti offers. "We'd have to wait for my boat to be repaired first, and I'd like to hear what the others have to say too. We can leave either way if that's what you choose, but it'd be a bit easier if we didn't have to stow away." Hopefully, their request will go through. Given that the village seems to regard Alexis as a problem, he's hoping that it won't be too hard. Whatever obligations come with clan ties and familial bonds here may be hard to ignore though, even if none have seemed to call anyone to help Alexis.
Of course, that's given that Alexis is sure about this. Heat-of-the-moment decisions don't always last, and making ocean voyages is far from easy. Still, given that her people are sailors, Kavaratti isn't too worried about having to teach her the basics. And given that she hasn't managed to kill a dragon yet, Spillage shouldn't have too much trouble with her either.
Decision made, Kavaratti begins to gather the papers and plans back together, preparing them for Alexis's trek back to her workshop, leaving one of the interesting boat designs and one of the failed weapons out as he does. "Do you mind if I borrow these for the night?" he asks.

she looked at him and nodded. *sure! Ill need them back later, though. But. . . I dont think we should tell anyone. The village may hate me, but Im the only heir. I HAVE to stay. But I dont want to. I would rather leave than stay on this. . . This hell hole.* she proclaimed. *Ill sneak on your boat and hide if I have to. Just get me off this island!*

Kavaratti shrugs but nods, says, "If that's what you think, it's what we'll work off of. If you don't want to stay here, you shouldn't have to." Dark eyes close briefly, thoughtfully, before they open and he adds, "You should leave a note though, so that they don't think you've been kidnapped."
"I'm not sure if they'd set sail after you knowing that you left willingly, but whatever that chance is, it has to be lower than if they knew you were taken. They wouldn't know where we're going either way, though, so once we're out, we shouldn't have to be too worried about them catching us."
He'll just have to skip over these islands in the future, follow Spillage a little further ahead to the pod's stomping grounds before breaking off.
"Until the ship's ready though, how would you feel about looking into these?" Kavaratti taps the plans.

She beamed, both at the prospect of leaving het personal hell, and for having someone showing curiosity in her work. *I would love to! I always though about making a full-scale model of some of my bigger works but never could. Ill look into the plans I can make here and what I could feasibly make at your place, provided you have a forest and a blacksmith.* she said, excited. Then she hugged him tightly. *thank you. Thank you so much. I swear, you have saved my life. Im in your debt.* sh said, teary-eyed.

A full-scale project might be a bit difficult in the time that we have, Kavaratti thinks before warm arms wrap around him.
And he pauses, surprised, even as he, carefully, sets his arms above Alexis's, wrapping them around her shoulders and completing the hug. This is not a ritual that he's unfamiliar with, even if the hugs are usually from much smaller children or much older grandmas.
"We have those," he murmurs. "And you might be able to find a few more people who are interested in helping you too."
"For now though, why don't we rest up for the night, and see get ready for tomorrow?"

The next day comes, sun stealing over the horizon like a thief.
Kavaratti rises an hour or so after it, the exhaustion of travel keeping his sleep long and peaceful. After eating breakfast and washing up, Alexis has yet to arrive, so he settles into waiting.
Takes catalogue of his supplies and oils his weapons. Counts out his coin and makes a list of what needs to be bought for the journey to come.

A few minutes later, Alexis showed up, holding all her stuff she was planning on bringing with her. Mainly her plans and some sentimental weapons.

Alexis comes into view, and Kavaratti moves to dry his sword, dragging an old cloth across its length with quiet care. She moves to stand besides him, a reasonable number of designs held in her hands, but he continues his work, patiently polishing.
It doesn't take long for him to finish and sheath the sword, only after which he looks up. "What type of animals do you have in the woods?" he asks.
While they speak, he buckles the blade onto his belt. Since they're working in the forest, he needs to be prepared for the errant wildlife that she's listing. His crossbow would be hard to use in thick foliage, and he needs something easy to carry, hence the sword.

She smiled at him. *so, we dont have many things in there. Boars, Terrible Terrors, the occasional lost yak and sheep, stuff like that. Dont kill the yak and sheep, as they belong to people in the village.* she pulled out two strange wooden poles before flicking them open to reveal small twin scythes.
(Remember Death from Puss in Boots the Last Wish? These are his weapons, minus the cat X markings. If you havent, just look it up.)
