Maybe a tower on the other side of the castle collapses after he waves to your oc. If he even can find his way there. And yeah, I got it.

Roxy was trying to pull out some reedy weeds blocking the door, when she felt the ground shake. She rushed back away from the castle, looking at the cliff side and the treeline for the source of the noise. A plume of dust was rising into the air from the far side of the castle. She hissed half an explitive and ran in the direction she'd seen Myles leave.
"Myles!?" She called.

Oh, before I transferred it over, I reread your response and only included the weed-pulling.
When I saw your next line of the story I added it back in, but we can still switch it back if you want.

I think at this point, if she doesn't go in to try to find him, she'd be a huge uncaring jerk, so I probably need to have her go in now.

I was going to start winding it downand have them
-find a dog in the rubble,
-check it for injuries,
-maybe start carrying it /or bring it to a vet and
-make an illusion to coming back to do more exploring when they weren't under a time crunch.

That would leave it open to whether or not there would ever be additional adventures. I was planning to end it about there, but wanted to give you a chance to add things if you wanted.



Possible next response:

"I think that door way at the end of the courtyard might bring us straight back to the kitchen or whatever we entered through. " Roxy suggested.
"You know this isn't exactly the best place to be when you're in a hurry, but it would be cool to come back and explore....maybe after I have someone verify that more of it isn't about to collapse....
