The person has to prove itself to the Kelpie through various trials and even then the Kelpie is not guaranteed to like the person. If the person is rejected by the Kelpie the Kelpie will eat the person. If the Kelpie's trust is gained the person will be allowed to touch the Kelpie without being eaten. As the level of trust grows the person will be able to ride the Kelpie and eventually take the bridle off of the Kelpie. When the Kelpie is away from it's bridle it is extremely weak and needs to stay in the water to survive when with the bridle it can stay away from the water for a week at a time. It is when the person trusts the Kelpie too that the two can work together well. The Kelpie is a temperamental mare who does not like strangers or bright light which if the person who the Kelpie trusts brings a stranger or bright light into the area they will be attacked though not killed and eaten. Just like with normal trust between a horse and rider the trust can either grow or be broken.

as a horseback rider, i like it! accepted! just give it an SCP number that hasnt been used yet, if you can, otherwise just give it a name.

yep, its a monster that looks like an asian girl. anyway, i cant find any numbers so itll be SCP-N/A (not applicable), with the name Ravens Wing. and of course, the idea is so good!

Thank you. Sorry I chose those numbers because they are bad luck in several cultures and meeting with a Kelpie is especially near water is going to be extremely unlucky for whoever gets close.
