Respecting Ink's wishes, she avoids the colored paper. Soon, she finds somewhere to settle. "What was that ink trick you did?" she said, attempting to start up a conversation.

"Pfft, y'mean this?" Ink chuckled, laying down a puddle of paint and pencil-diving into it, vanishing with a splash. He stayed under for a few seconds, just to put Cherry on edge, before reemerging with a coy grin. "Heh! I don't have a name for it, but some have endearingly refered to it as 'Splatoon travel'? Nah. What I did with you though, that was a proper portal."

Ink paused, a light, multi-colored blush appearing on his cheek bones. He didn't say anything for a few seconds, as if unsure what to do with the compliment. "...O-oh! Erm. S'not a big deal... most of us Out!codes can make portals. Just what we do, heh..." He replied once he regained himself, rubbing behind his skull.

"Oh, it's a generic term. Refers to a specific type of being. The critera's honestly a litte vauge, but most of us can travel freely between alternate universes-- AUs for short-- and exist independantly of any singular universe or timeline. That not to say not all of us have a universe to call home-- well, I don't-- but Reaper and Nightmare I know do. The thing here is that we just can exist without their code being intact. Does that make sense?"

"Heh, yeah they exist! Just look around ya." Ink waved around the area. "These papers... Each one represents a different universe. And each one is so unique..." He trailed off, then shook his head briefly. "Right! So, what about that kidnapper, huh?"
