His wings where laying to his sides so it was easy for Ash to pull him back,Jason careful with the jar and therefore not fighting. He sighed again,shutting his eyes tightly but not fighting or anything,but dark pink dug in like claws into the blissful rose gold,ripping it away like paper being shredded. "It doesn't matter,it's true anyway.I didn't try hard enough,but I don't think there's any way to get me angry other than my past to be honest,at least anymore." His voice was hushed,soft and seeming to force some truth into his quiet words.

"But it's not true. I just said it to make you upset. And it worked. I was hoping it wouldn't. A small part of me was, anyway. You did everything in your power to save them."

He looked at one of his hands and some of the white markings showed but black was seeping strangely into them like ink into oil but...slowly spreading. "And it wasn't enough.You only repeated a truth I've known for five years." He murmured,eyes now hazel and not one hint of any golden flecks. But...faint red seemed to reach into the hazel like scraggly claws...the same shade of red as Shade's eyes.

Ash figured nothing he said would change his mind. "Maybe. But I know how it feels to do everything you can and...still not be enough. And when you look back, you think of all the things you could've said or done differently." Ash watched the black make its way into Jason's hands

He nodded,his eyes never leaving the markings as they showed more but the white was easily and slowly swallowed up by black.He knew what was coming and it wouldn't be fun. "But sometimes you have to look at what's right at the time and know that ... if something had changed that things could also be worse rather than better.If I hadn't gone in that alley,I could be dead out in the dragon realm a good while ago from fighting...and of course failing.Or...I'd be in the mountain as this happened." He said,pointing at the black seeping through his markings and clawing up his arms. They looked like Shade's.

"What is that? What's going on?" He asked, seemingly not worried if Jason wasn't. "And...why would you rather be here than in the mountain?"

"Because I'd be assassinated with who's linked blood whise to me.Shade is my full sibling,not half as Flasher and Silver are to me...we are tied by blood and therefore,as I said he's done before,he can take my will at times and drag it through the mud.But this is a little slow so I know he doesn't intent to touch my will,he only is going to be stuck in my head for a while so to speak." He said,tone calm but the black continued.

"...Which is my fault."

Jason nudged Ash gently with an elbow. "No,it has nothing to do with anything you've done.It was my intense anger and I let it out despite better judgement.It's not your fault."

"But it is. I was the one who brought it up in the first place. I provoked you."
