(I was thinking that something happened that chased them out but Alister gets shot or something and Electa had to drag him to the car and then they go on the run together)

Long pews curved in concentric semicircles, spreading outward from a white pulpit at the front. It was shaped like a pair of angel wings, it's carved feathery tips arcing upward. Behind it, a giant stained glass figure of an angel stood with its arms out, smiling down at everyone

Alister's breath was taken away at the sight of it.. He thought it was positively gorgeous. It almost felt home-like to him in some way.

"Why?" she asks

" because i'm not used to having my wings streched out all the way."

(All I have to say is: wait until Electa has to explain sharing a hotel room xD)

Electa took a seat a few pews behind where Alister was. A sudden rippling of harp music sounded through the church, its celestial chords echoing. In the front, a man in a white robe climbed the short, curving stairs that led up to the pulpit. He spoke for a while before saying, "Today we have three new members to the church. Three devotees that have pledged their lives to the angels." Slowly, three people in sky-blue robes filed out and stood facing the congregation...Electa spotted someone she knew.

Alister watched intently, seeming to have some sort of.. rememberence to this kind of thing... He didn't know exactly where he rememebred it from though. Maybe something his mother said once.
