Blue sighed and looked around. "An idiot they say, would an idiot run out of her hiding spot to kill a man that would kill her, no! An idiot would think she was safe in her hiding spot. Would an idiot think to grab a steak knife and hide survival packs in her shed, no! An idiot would not! But hey, I'll let him believe that. I've survived this long, I should be able to survive a little longer. Let them believe they're the good guys, but who is the real good guys? In the end it all come down to the fact that they aren't brave enough to save their enemy, because most of them probably don't realize they're doing the wrong thing, it takes a brave man to save his enemy." Blue mumbled. She looked at Shadow and sighed. "Yes I do realize his friend wanted to kill me, but I've come to know that enemies can be the ones depicted as the good guys, and they don't even realize that's what they are." Blue said to Shadow and smiled. "You're right Shadow, all I need is you, no one else will care for me like you do, no one will care for me in general." Blue said and she gave Shadow a quick hug. She began walking the opposite direction of the massacre seemingly happy.

Out of nowhere, a large panther pounced oh her, roaring loudly as a human followed behind it, grinning evilly. "Go ahead kajo, do your worst" he told the panther on top of the girl.

Blue gulped. She reached for the steak knife and then trusted it into the panther's underbelly. She then threw the knife at the man's head. She quickly stood up and started running.

The man easily dodged, but was surprised nonetheless. Despite the panther being in horrible pain, his human demanded he chase after her, and the panther was forced to comply. The panther proceeded to charge the girl, sinking its teeth into her arm before it died from blood loss, the man was nowhere to be seen.

Blue muffled a scream but continued to run. She didn't look back but knew Shadow was still clinging onto her shoulder. She could feel blood running down her arm, not knowing whether it was hers or the panther's, but she was sure it was her own due to the stinging in her arm. As she ran she tore some fabric from her shirt and placed it over her wound.

After a few more hours and a lot of dead dark cloaks and saved (but some wounded) citizens, Kai and Angel were resting about half a mile away from the docks where the townspeople escaped.

Blue panted, finally feeling safe, she stopped running and sat down. She looked at her wound and sighed. "My home probably isn't safe to go to anymore, we'll stay here for a day and then start heading back, slowly. Yes Shadow, I know the wound is fairly bad, but who knows where I could get help! I'm not going back! That would be stupid of me, for now, I'll just have to Bandage it up." Blue said quietly. She reached into her survival pack and pulled out some bandage and wrapped it around her arm, stopping the bleeding temporarily. She laid back and smiled. "This wasn't to bad of an experience.... Oh who am I kidding! It was terrible!" She said

Kai and Angel met up with a re other light cloaks, one of them was sniping off as many dark cloaks as they could safely without being noticed, while another one was helping Kai with a wound he got on his back while saving a mother with her two children.

She stood up and started heading back to her town. "Shadow, I do realize it has not been a day, but I'm sure it'll be fine if I head back now, I've survived this long, I should be able to survive a little longer." She said as she looked back at Shadow. Blue closed her eyes for a minute, seemingly nervous, then opened them. Her step quickened slightly.

"Reinforcements! A troop of light cloaks from another town has some to assist us!" Angel said, swooping in on his cloak, an otter with him, which quickly jumping into Kai's arms, turning into a tattoo.
