Ember thought about it. 'Well if you can I guess. How long have you been on land?' She almost cocked her head, but remembered what A"ine had said about Orion and Alderic noticing, so she kept quiet.

Orion allowed the door to close and slid in after them. "Yeah, I just hope we don't stress her out again," he said, frowning slightly.

(Sorry I took so long to post!)

A'ine couldn't help but smile a little. 'A couple of weeks... I'm lucky I learned how to walk before coming here! I'm not even that good at it.' She heard Orion and spun on her heels pointing her finger at his face. "If you say something like that again I'll drown you this afternoon. You were the most help to calm her down, I made it worst, Aderic made it start, and Ember had no idea what to do. So don't go around blaming yourself." She didn't smile as she spoke which was odd for her. She turned back around walk. "Oh, and I won't drown you, I'll just embarrass you in front of Jora." She smiled a little looking at Ember where Orion couldn't see.

Alderic sighed.That would be hanging over his head for a while. He hadn't meant to have it happen. It really was his fault. He sighed again, who was he trying to kid, he shouldn't be part of their little group of friends. The only one he had anything in common with was A'ine. 'That's a lie and you know it. For the sake of kelp, you're a FLAMING pegesus. You are probably the one who has the most in common with Jora besides Orion.' He heard flashing through his mind. "Man! Are you always checking?!" He yelled at her with a grateful smile. His smile turned to laughing. "And kelp? what's up with that?" A'ine groaned. "There isn't much else in the sea that doesn't think." Alderic bent over laughing.

Jora walked down the stairs slowly, in no rush to start the day. 'At least no one else saw last night... They might have thought it was fireworks for the school if they did.' She thought as she reached up and toyed with her necklace. She was glad her mother was smart enough to make sure it was heat resistant. She looked at her sleeves and sighed. They were burnt from last night. She had put on the wrong shirt. She rolled up her sleeves knowing that if she went back upstairs she'd get too scared to come back down. She dug in her pant pockets and grabbed a couple of safety pins to keep her shirt sleeves up. She was sure she smiled like smoke but she just wanted to get through with everyone laughing at her or bullying her. She walked out of the dorm building and walk extra slowly. (Jora's outfit except her sleeves are pined up to a little above her elbow and it looks like a kimono at the neck Oh and the pant's are red like her skirt and her shirt is that cream color.)

Orion jumped back as A'ine whirled on him. He blushed furiously. "Geez, why do you have to be so cruel!?" he whined, trying to hide his embarrassment, although it was a lost cause. He pouted and turned his head away from her. When he heard Alderic and A'ine's conversation, he started laughing, and turned back to the others. "Let me know if you ever have a conversation with a piece of kelp!"

Ember tried to hide her laughter behind her hand, but failed horribly and burst out laughing, surprising herself. It was the hardest she had laughed in a really long time, and she ended up gasping for breath. She put her hands on her knees to keep herself from doubling over like Alderic.

(Thanks! Don't worry, I love reading your posts! I started laughing out loud at A'ine's threats, while imagining how Orion would react.)

A'ine looked at Orion as he spoke. She smiled a bit then laughed a little when he said to let him know. She smiling widely after picking up Orion's embarrassment. 'Oh, and if ever want to hide any emotion from me, you'll have to do A LOT better.' She started laughing a little bit more. She wasn't used to an actual human laugh yet, for her it was always bubbles and chortling. She stopped after a bit and continued down the hall toward breakfast with a smile on her face.

Alderic stopped laughing a little and stood straight smiling, taking off his glasses to whip at his eyes. He smiled at Ember. "Wow! You actually do make some noise once in a while." He said laughing a little bit more. "Hey A'ine wait for us!" He yelled following after her.

Jora heard them laughing as she got closer to the castle. She knew it was them. She wondered if they were laughing at her. She shook her head and stopped near the doors hiding a bit away from the stairs, listening to hear where they were and to know when the had left the hall. She sat in the grass next to the steps well out of view of anyone who wasn't looking for her. She held her breath as she waited for them to not be in the hall.

(I actually did too... AND I WAS WRITING THEM! XD)

Orion blushed again, and accidentally answered out loud. "I'm gonna have to walk around wearing a mask to keep anything from you!" he said, trying to sound angry, but failing horribly. He once again opened the doors to the cafeteria and held them open for everyone.

Ember managed to stop laughing and ran after Alderic. 'Orion can't even hide it from me' she sent to A'ine, smiling. To Alderic she said, "You guys were being pretty ridiculous.

(Ah geez, they're having way too much fun! XD)

A'ine snorted a little. "Right. But a mask can't keep me from knowing even if I didn't want to." She said with a laugh in her voice. "o, are you more embarrassed because I threatened to embarrass you or because of the person I was threatening to do so in front of?" She sent to his mind as sort of a rhetorical question. She turned her attention back to Ember. 'Truthfully the only one I think wouldn't be able to tell is Jora.' She sent with a image of her smiling deviously.

Alderic burst in in front of A'ine doing a few back flips to get there. "Ya don't know the half of it!" He yelled back smiling. He turned to A'ine. "Okay, so I'm going to educate you on the finer things of surface life." He said then spun his head around. "Hey, Orion, want to help me pick out A'ine's breakfast?" He asked oblivious as to what was going on.

Jora stood up and took in a breath. It sounded like they were out of the hall but she wanted to wait a few more moments to make sure.

(XD I guess so... IF there were such a thing as too much fun! XD)

Orion glared at A'ine."One more word, and I'll..." he trailed off, because: 1. He couldn't think of a good threat, and 2. He knew even if he could come up with one, he wouldn't follow through with it. He settled for glaring at A'ine one more time before turning his attention to Alderic. "Sure! I bet she's never had pancakes!" he said, trying to change the topic.


Ember giggled behind her hand. 'How are those two ever going to figure it out?' She sent, shaking her head. 'I really hope you never use that face to plot against me' She sent. "Pancakes are good," she said softly adding her opinion.

(Good thing there is no such thing as too much fun! XD)

Alderic stared at him point blank. "Man, what do you think they eat under water? It sounds like a plain diet." He said grabbing a couple of plates, one for A'ine's food and one for his. "Okay the best stuff only. Don't want to make her mind explode from all the goodness."

A'ine laughed at Orion as he stopped talking in the middle of it. She slowed her pace and let the two boys run ahead. "I don't know. There's bound to be a beginning of school dance sooner or later." She whispered her eyes sparkling. "And don't worry. I won't. Promise." She said crossing her heart. "I hope the boy's don't try and feed me too much..." She said with a laugh in her voice. "I wonder if I'll get to introduce you to A'eda'n today."

Jora opened the door slowly and peeked in. She let her breath out when she didn't see anyone. She walked quickly and ran past the door of the mess hall, toward the Bird class room. She really wasn't hungry in the least. She ducked into the room and looked around for a good spot to sit. She pulled her hair back into a bun hoping that maybe she'd look like a different person and Orion might not recognize her right away. She walked to the back and sat in the dark corner.

(Too true! ^^)

Orion grabbed a tray and followed Alderic. He grabbed over easy eggs, toast, and juice for himself. "What should we get A"ine? You're right, it should be really good! And don't you dare say 'a bit of everything' because there's no way she'd finish it all!" he said, smiling as he scanned the choices for the best foods.

"Judging by that expression from earlier, you already have a plan to get them together. And I'll hold you to that promise," Ember said, realizing she was becoming way more comfortable talking now that there was only one person talking to her.

(I fear for A'ine's stomach.)

Alderic thought for a bit. "I haven't a clue. How about you get some sweet stuff and I'll get the more spicy stuff?" He asked going for a burrito for himself. He reached for an omelet with firepeppers for A'ine.

A'ine smiled. "Maybe I do... I just hope Jora won't be too scared to swim later..." She said her smile fading and her voice dropping. "Did you know that the kids back at Jora's town tried to drown her?" She she locking her jaw in anger at them.
