(Heres my idea.
Its a female griffin. (You know, half lion, half massive eagle. Shes a young teen who left home with permission in search of happiness and adventure, and secretly, love. She failed to find the last thing, but shes found plenty of adventure and happiness. Shes probably flying nearby when something happens to her that injures her, goes into nearby woods or a cave or something, and is found by the group. Then the plot goes from there.

(I LOVE THAT IDEA.
MAKE IT HAPPEN.
Also, for the record, she looks like a mix between a bald eagle and a female African lion. She also is bigger than Skystreak by quite a bit, but is still much smaller than Basi or Silvermist. And Ill think of a name soon. probably a pun or word translated into another language.)
