"Aye, once the laddie gits some shut eye." Locke nodded.

"You mean once he warms up then he can sleep." Douglas said.
Selkie overheard them and looked at them, "I can hear you, you know and so can Kaladin mind taking the noise level down a little please?"

"Exactly what Ah meant. Sorry aboot that, Laddie." Locke replied.

"It's fine." Selkie said going back to writing.
Douglas stepped toward Selkie.
Selkie watched Douglas out of the cornor of his eye.
"I just wanta fell if your fever has gone down or not."
Selkie let him.
Douglas did so and soaked a towel putting it on Selkie's forehead, "Get some sleep."

Locke watched patiently, silently wondering if all sea otters used to be this headstrong.

Selkie could figure out what Locke was thinking, "I don't know if they were or not Locke I only know what my parents were like. Good night." Selkie put his journal away and tried to sleep.

"G'night." Locke returned.

Douglas walked back out, "Hallelujah he is finally resting. It's a miracle."
